Parachute

We arrived at the movie theater and headed to the ticket booth, I had never been here before and I eagerly glanced around, it was on the strip and was alive with people. I turned back to Greg as he questioned the ticket clerk for times and recommendations, I placed my hand on his back leaned in to listen,

'It's between a zombie movie or some mushy gushy love movie' Greg exclaimed,

'Zombie movie' I said enthusiastically, Greg grinned and looked back the clerk,

'Two tickets to the zombie movie please' Greg said politely, the grin still beaming across his face, my eyes lit up when I saw snack counter, Greg placed his hand on my shoulder,

'That's where we're heading' he teased and led me over to the snack counter, the smell of hot butter pleased my nose,

'Will I get one large popcorn to share ?' he asked,

'Two' I said, Greg's eyes widened and he shook his head,

'No way, you won't eat it' he teased, I gasped and began laughing,

'Two medium soda's and one large popcorn' he said to the snack counter guy, I opened my bag and took a twenty dollar bill out of my purse, I placed it down on the counter in front of Greg,

'Whoa, no way are you paying' he gasped, I sighed and shook my head,

'You just paid for the tickets let me pay' I moaned, Greg laughed and took out his wallet,

'No way' he snapped playfully and began laughing, I frowned and handed my money to the clerk, Greg also handed his money which made the clerk confused. Greg took my money out of my hand and the clerk took his money, my jaw dropped and Greg laughed, he pulled me into his chest and kissed my forehead. I felt his hand open my bag and place the money back in it, the clerk handed me the popcorn and Greg took the drinks, we walked down the corridor to screen 3 and the usher took our tickets from Greg, our seats were near the back, Greg let me go in first, I squished through the people and sat in my seat, Greg sat down beside me and placed my drink in the coaster, he removed his jacket and relaxed back into his seat, I shoved a handful of popcorn in my mouth and crunched loudly, Greg began snickering and took a handful of popcorn out of his hand, my eyes narrowed to the seats below us, I gasped when I noticed Hodges sitting beside a young woman,

'Greg, oh my gosh, it's Hodges and he's on a date' I whispered urgently, Greg jumped immediately and glanced down, he burst out laughing causing Hodges to turn around. We ducked down quickly and I couldn't stop laughing, the movie began and Hodges turned around again, we sat up again and began watching the movie. Greg took a piece of popcorn and threw it at Hodges, it landed right on his head, I slapped Greg playfully, he chuckled quietly. Hodges ignored us and continued watching the screen, I grabbed a handful and threw it at Greg, he laughed threw a small handful back, I giggled and relaxed back into my seat. It was now halfway through the movie, Greg had his arm around my shoulders and I rested my head on his shoulder, we both reached in to get popcorn to find there was very little left,

'I told you we should have got two' I teased, Greg laughed and looked down around Hodges, his jacket collar was filled with popcorn we had been tossing at him through out the movie,

'Well we did waste an awful lot' he chuckled, I laughed and continued watching the screen, we both watched eagerly as the movie was getting to a scary part, a young girl wondering around her house stupidly shouting, "Hello, is anyone there ?' was about to be attacked by a zombie, as the scary music began I flinched and buried my head in Greg's shoulder, he laughed with confusion and stroked my head,

'Are you ok ?' he asked, I nodded and kept my head hidden as I waited nervously for horrific part to end,

'Is it over ?' I asked moments later, Greg removed his hand from my head,

'Yeah' he whispered, I looked up and it was safe, I shivered slightly and sat back up,

'Were you afraid of that ?' he asked, I nodded, my cheeks flushed red,

'What ? You work with murders and serial killers everyday, and you're afraid of some fake zombie movie' he chuckled, I nodded once again, just then I noticed Hodges and his date making out,

'Eww look at Hodges' I gasped, Greg looked and quickly covered my eyes,

'Now that's scary' he teased, he removed his hand and began throwing more popcorn at the two, but it didn't stop them, Greg looked at me laughed,

'If you can't beat them....' I began and pulled Greg into a kiss, he responded brilliantly and we never did see what happened at the end of the movie. Greg drove me home and walked me up to my apartment, I searched my bag for my keys and opened the front door,

'I had a really, really, really great time tonight Ally' Greg said quietly as I turned to face him, I smiled,

'Me too' I exclaimed and kissed Greg softly, a short peck quickly turned into full on making out, I pulled back and laughed quietly, Greg looked confused,

'Do you want to come in ?' I asked, his eyes widened and he nodded enthusiastically.
