Parachute

We all entered the diner and headed to a booth. I sat down beside Warrick and across from Greg and Nick. We all picked up our menu's and began examining them carefully. A waitress arrived shortly and took out her notepad and pen,

'What can I get you all ?' she exclaimed, Warrick glanced at his menu once more, Greg was mumbling to himself and Nick had decided minutes ago,

'I'll have a coffee, black and the smoked salmon omelette, please' Warrick stated, the waitress jotted it down quickly,

'Um, I'll have a cappuccino and pancakes with bacon and maple syrup' Nick mumbled, she quickly wrote and down and looked at Greg and me, Greg nodded at me to go first,

'Thanks, em I'll have blueberry pancakes and a black coffee please' I murmured and looked up at Greg,

'Em I'm going to have scrambled egg, bacon and toast and a large glass of water' Greg chirped, the waitress finished writing and smiled, I gathered up the menus and handed them to her,

'Thanks' she exclaimed and walked away, I sighed loudly and put my head back,

'Tired ?' Greg asked, I looked back down and smiled,

'Yeah' I chuckled,

'I'm gonna head to the bathroom before the food comes' Warrick announced and stood up, Nick got up as well,

'I'll join you' he teased and followed Warrick to the restrooms, I looked at Greg and smiled,

'You're first case was success' he exclaimed, I nodded and grinned widely,

'Unfortunately they're not always that simple, you were lucky' he explained. The waitress arrived with the food and began placing it down in front of us, Greg grinned at his food and picked up his knife and fork, I reached over and snatched a piece of his bacon, his jaw dropped and he began laughing,

'That's not fair' he groaned and grabbed one of my pancakes, I gasped and chuckled,

'So you got any hobbies ?' he asked as I shoved a forkful of pancakes in my mouth, I hesitated for a moment as I chewed my food quickly,

'Um, well when I lived in California I loved surfing and horse riding' I explained, Gregs eyes widened,

'I love surfing, Huntington Beach has some good waves' Greg said excitedly, I grinned widely,

'Really we should go down there sometime together' I stated, Greg grinned widely and nodded, just then Warrick and Nick arrived back and sat back down,

'What took you guys so long ?' I teased, they looked at each other and back at me,

'Nothing' Nick chuckled and began eating his food, I laughed quietly,

'Yeah, Ally that sounds good' Greg said finally, I looked at him and grinned,

'Great' I chirped and continued eating,

'Sorry Warrick, do you mind standing out for a second so I can get out ?' I asked, feeling the sudden urge to use the bathroom, he got out and scooted over and out,

'I'll be back in a minute boys' I giggled and turned on my heel in the direction on the restrooms, but as I turned a young waitress walked straight into me with a tray of drinks and drenched me. I stood there motionless for a few moments,

'I am so sorry' she squealed, I looked at her and held back my embarrassment,

'It's ok' I mumbled, Warrick jumped from his seat and took my hand,

'Come with me and we'll get you cleaned up' he said calmly and lead me to the restrooms, we walked into the women's bathrooms and made sure no one else was in there, Warrick un did the buttons of his shirt and took off the plain white tee under his shirt, he handed me the t-shirt, I smiled,

'Thanks' I gushed, he grinned widely, I took my wet tank off and threw it in the sink, just then two elderly women walked in to see Warrick topless and me in my bra, they gasped loudly. Warrick turned to face them and went to explain but they had quickly fled the restrooms, he looked back at me and we both burst out into laughter. I put the t-shirt on and he put his shirt back on, I used the scunchie from my hair to the t-shirt at the back so it didn't look so big, I began running the tank under cold water to get the stains out,

'If you leave that here I will buy you another one' Warrick teased, I chuckled and nodded,

'Ok I'll hold you to that' I giggled and we walked back out to the diner.
