FoREVer Friends The Pretty Bird Sings

I was relaxing on my couch after I told Brian and Leana to go home and that I would be fine. So here I laid staring at my ceiling thinking.

A noise made me sit up, it was strange like a piano was playing. I slowly walked to my second room were my keyboard was, I hadn't touched it since the week before christmas when Brian, Jimmy, Mich, and Leana came over to surprise me. I noticed my door was cracked which was weird I had it shut this morning. My fingers curled around the door frame as I moved it. Walking in the room I didn't notice the temperature difference but I knew something was different.

My keyboard was turned on when I looked over at it. I gently ran my fingers over the keys and closed my eyes.

'Now I think I understand
How this world can overcome a man.

"What's your name again?"
I blinked and quickly wiped my eyes.
"And now your 'Dove'"
I gasped as I felt arms wrap around my waist, but when I looked down no one was there.

'Like a friend we saw it through
In the end I gave my life for you.'

"Your lying she'll talk I know it, won't you Dove."
I remember those wild blue eyes that wanted those tears that glazed them to fall, he was always trying to be strong.
"Don't worry Dove, You'll sing again you pretty little bird."
I felt the tears falling down my pale cheeks as I slowly sat down in front of my keyboard.

'Gave you all I had to give
Found a place for me to rest my head.'

"Jimmy what are you doing to Sammy?" Brian asked once we entered my backyard.
"what does it look like." he mumbled from my neck. He hadn't let go of me once we had left the hospital.
I griped the necklace I had around my neck, the four points dug into my skin.
"And having your head on her shoulder helps her how?"
"It's helping isn't it Dove." he whispered to me quietly.
I chuckled softly at the memory, it felt as if he was doing it still.

'While I may be hard to find
Heard there's peace just on the other side.'

"Jimbo." I whispered softly to the emptiness around me.
A cold brush against my arm near my hands where they were gripping the necklace.
"You did this didn't you." I whispered
The air shifted slowly.

'Not that I could

"How was that guys?"
"It was great man. Right Sammy?"
I nodded franticly as Jimmy smiled at me through the recording booth.
"I wanna do it again, just to make sure I can do it again later".
"Sure Jimmy."
I just smiled at my goofy friend.

I looked down at the necklace on the long chain. A cross stared back at me.
"I hope you don't mind Jimbo."I said quietly.
I looked back at the wall in front of my keyboard, a note rang through out the room, making my eyes widen slightly.
"What am I thinking of course not." I whispered shaking my head.

'Now this hurt can finally fade
Promise me you'll never be afraid.'

"It was you wasn't it, at the doctors." I whispered.
Silence met my ears.
"I won't be afraid Jimmy." I said calmly.

'I missed your voice Dove."
I smiled softly wiping my eyes gently.
"I missed it too."
As if someone brushed my bangs away my eyes lit up.

' hope it's worth it, here on the highway, yeah

"Shouldn't you be somewhere." I whispered to nothing.
A chuckle met my ears.
'Maybe.'

Tears fell from my eyes again. "I'll tell them." I whispered sadly.
'Don't you Cry on me Dove!' the words flashed passed my eyes as closed my eyes against the cool breeze that picked up through my room.
