A Million and One Feathers
1/1
I wish I could be free. I wish I could fly, soar through the clouds without worrying about the next time I’ll fall.
I always fall. It’s inevitable the way my wings will only carry me so far. So far until I plummet back to earth shattering my bones and my dreams.
I got close once, only once. So close I could touch the silver lining. So close I could smell success.
Then it started to rain. The water droplets weighed down my feathers and I fell, the same way I always do.
Sometimes I wish I could be free, like a bird.
