The Heart Does Go On

Chapter 69 - "Well, you'll be getting spoiled tonight"

I heard a loud banging awaken me the following morning. I got up out of bed groggily, and saw Kathryn looking way too cheerful for someone who drank a little too much last night.

“What do you want?” I asked, feeling tired from being awoken that way.

“A certain Mr. Kaiba is here to see you.” Kathryn said, wiggling her eyebrows.

I looked at my nightstand. It said 12.30pm, SHIT!

We all ended up going to bed at 5am due to giggling conversations and coming down from our slight tipsiness. I knew I had no time to fix myself up, so I ran to my mirror and did what I could in the 10 seconds or so I had. My hair was fairly messy but that was okay, my pyjamas were a little of whack so I straightened them.

I quickly ran down to the hallway to meet a very unimpressed looking Seto.

“Err, hi.” I said nervously, scratching the back of my neck.

“You’re not ready and you haven’t cleared out your cronies.” Seto stated.

“Yeah, we uh, had a late night to celebrate that the evil Legal test is out of the way!” I quickly made up at the top of my head.

While it was true that the Legal test IS evil, and that it IS out of the way, and because it was out of the way I was able to do something other than study last night, it wasn’t that reason that I had the sleepover.

“Your little friend Kathryn doesn’t even take legal.” Seto pointed out, sounding a little cold.

“Like I need an excuse to party!” Kathryn said, getting the general gist of what was happening and appeared at my side to save me.

“I see.” Seto replied.

“So why are you on Ella’s doorstep this afternoon?” Kathryn asked curiously, leaning on my doorframe.

“I’m here to pick up my girlfriend for something that’s none of your business.” Seto growled.

Uh oh. Not only did he just tell Kathryn the biggest gossiper in the school, by him spitting it out like that you can tell that he’s angry with me. Eep!

Kathryn looked at me in shock, and seemed she was incapable of speaking words.

“Is…is this true Ella?” Kathryn asked me.

“Kathryn, go pack up your stuff. I’ll give you a lift home.” Duke said to Kathryn, saving me greatly and dragging Kathryn off to my room.

“You’re annoyed at me aren’t you?” I sighed to Seto, after Kathryn and Duke were out of earshot.

“Annoyed isn’t the word that describes my feelings right now. I’m a little amused, too.” Seto smirked.

“I see. So uh, I have to pack my stuff still. Unless I just pack the things I’d need for tonight and come back tomorrow?” I asked him.

“Do what you feel like, it’s not like we’re in a rush.” Seto informed me, but then wrapped his arms around me and held me tightly in his embrace.

“Don’t you have a big company to run?” I joked

“I do, but there’s not too much work to do this weekend. I surprisingly have little homework for once too.” Seto replied.

“I don’t have much either, just a little bit of economics and a little bit of accounting I can deal with tomorrow.” I shrugged.

Kathryn came bounding out of my room, and Seto and I quickly broke away. She gave us a smirk.

“Ella I can’t believe you and Kaiba are going out again! That’s so cool! I understand why you kept it a secret, the media and all, and your secret is safe with me.” Kathryn said to me, tapping her nose.

I mouthed Duke a ‘thank you’ as he and Kathryn left, and he sent a wink back as he closed the front door.

Seto followed me into my room, as I opened up my big tote back and started shoving things in.

“This will take a while” Seto smirked at me.

“No it won’t!” I protested, throwing in some clothes.

“Aren’t you going to throw in half of the things you own?” Seto replied to my comment.

“Only all my cosmetics.” I winked.

“Don’t bother packing those, or any hair products or tools.” Seto smirked.

Seto made me put a blindfold on as we entered the house. I had no idea what was going on, and I was still wearing my pyjamas, had not showered and was not wearing any make-up or even worse, DEODORANT.

However Seto had me grasped tightly from around the waist, and it felt nice.

I felt him lead me up the staircase, and pull me into a direction near his room; at least I think it was.

“We’re here. You can take your blindfold off.” Seto said, and I untied the ribbon from around my eyes and let it fall to the floor.

I let out a huge gasp. Before me was probably the perfect room. The walls were painted a medium purple shade; the bed was white with curtains around it. There was also a white vanity mirror with draws in the desk part, but of course there was also a white desk. There were a lot of wardrobes for clothes, and a fair sized television had also been set up in the room.

“That’s not all. Check the cupboards.” Seto informed me, and gave my hand a slight squeeze before letting go.

I opened up the cupboards and saw a few items of clothing. I saw 2 dresses, a pair of jeans and a skirt.

“Oh, you spoil me too much!” I complained.

“Shush. You need some clothes for when you’re going to be staying here. And that’s not even half of what I’ve done for you.” Seto grinned, and lightly led me into the ensuite of the room.

It was a spacious bathroom, one of the sizes of the bathroom in my house, not the small cramped second bathroom style of usual ensuite.

“Have fun exploring.” Seto smirked, and I sent him a strange look.

I went through all the drawers and cupboards of the bathroom and couldn’t believe at what I had found. Seto had bought me a GHD straightener, hair curler and hair dryer. He had also bought me a lot of expensive cosmetics, anything I could ever need. There were 2 bottles of perfume, one was ‘Ed Hardy’ brand and smelled sweet, whilst the other was ‘Poison’ by Dior.

Other sorts of cosmetics included nice smelling moisturizers and body washers, hair sprays and other sorts of things. Basically, this bathroom was a girl’s wildest dreams.

“Oh my god Seto!” I screamed loudly, running up to him and giving him the biggest hug of my life.

“It was all worth it just to see you smile.” Seto said, tilting my chin up with his hand and giving me a small kiss. “Well, that and it’s practical for you to have these things here so you don’t need to always lug over your things”

“Why do you spoil me so much?” I asked, hugging him tightly.

“I always knew that the day I found the perfect girl for me, she’d be presented with everything she could wish for. Because I knew that I only go for the best, and that’s what the best deserve.” Seto said, and I blushed madly even though his statement was sort of shallow.

“Well, you’ll be getting spoiled tonight.” I winked to him.

I gotta run, I missed my first bus and went to Mc Donalds to update but now I'm borderline missing the second one, so no quirky comments.
