Anna stood in the parking lot of the county fair, hands on her hips, glaring at Nick. They had chosen this place for their first real date, and they went on the Ferris wheel together. He had planned on kissing her at the top, but when the ride abruptly stopped, they banged heads, ending up with Anna having a mild concussion and Nick having a chipped tooth.
“I’m really sorry, Anna,” Nick said sincerely. Anna continued to glare at him fiercely, her green eyes flashing brighter with her growing anger and frustration with Nick.
