Dear Mom, Thanks For Sending Your Human Daughter to a Boarding School of Supernaturals

Strange Feelings

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

So you will not believe the amazing night I had last night with my new buddy buddy room mate Richard, the vampire. We had a good ol' talk and then we had sex in every which way you can imagine.

Oh you silly fan girls, that's what every vampire fantasizer dreams of. In reality, that's not how it went down. Last night was basically utter shock on my part. I watched Richard pull up the sheets over his... gulp... naked chest as he twisted in bed closing his eyes. Standing in front of my doorway I stared at him long and hard until he reopened his eyes and sat up on his bed with his messy blonde hair and those cold silver eyes.

"I can't sleep." He said simply.

"Not shit." I responded as I slowly made my way towards my bed. What the hell was John thinking sending this asshole to protect me? Oh sure, the guy that tried to kill me earlier is the perfect guy to protect and watch over me. It's perfectly safe to have a damn vampire in a room with a weak human like me. Dear mom, I officially hate you for sending me to an abyss. Literally.

"I'm not going to say sorry for biting you by the way. You deserved that." He added.

"Oh like I totally didn't do it for no reason." I snapped remembering well what he told me in the class room. You don't belong here... and... oi that actually makes perfect sense now. Damn.

"From that dumb look I'm guessing you realized what I meant when I said you didn't belong here." He smirked amusingly. He smiled a bit as I gave him a good scowl. I was definitely in the wrong... but he was too for trying to kill me.

"Well you still shouldn't have tried to kill me. No matter how pissed off you were." I shot him a good glare. He tensed up and gave an equally fierce look. "I mean... I'm only human." I smirked.

"So modest." He sighed. "You seem like a witch to me. Crooked and hot tempered."

I rolled my eyes. "You want to tell me those exists too."

"No. They don't." He replied.

Oh.

"They're extinct." He added curtly.

"Since when?" Well isn't this interesting?

Richard paused a moment while playing with a blonde curl and smiled when he got his answer. "Since the Salem Witch trials. That's when the last of them were killed off."

I hated the story of the salem witches. It made me sad that all those innocent people were killed just for stupid accusations from jealous bitches that lived nearby. People are terrible. Which is why I get so pissed off at other easily. I don't believe in people anymore. I've been screwed one too many times to trust anyone.

"You see vampires and the feys hated witches. You can think of them as vampire slayers or even slayers of all supernaturals. They were humans with special magic running in their blood. You could say they got Fae blood in them. Not enough to make them immortal but enough to make them see our world. We don't like it. They were around keeping vampires at bay with their magic. Of course they were also beneficial because we used to be able to walk in the sun." He grinned. "But that wasn't enough. We wanted them dead so the witch scares basically exterminated them all."

My eyes narrowed. "You think it's funny or amusing that a bunch of people died just because they were a threat to you and your kind?"

He rolled his eyes. "Oh come on Iris. Wouldn't you want to get rid of us since we're a threat to you? It's the same thing."

I thought about it for a moment and figured he was right. But I was still enraged and ended up biting my lip. I was careful not to bite too hard or I'd spill blood and make him go insane. So instead I decided to do something more productive and sleep.

Richard didn't say anymore thank god. The next morning I woke up to find him still sleeping on his bed. Though the sun was out, it was covered by clouds. Lignumvitae was located in the highlands were the mountains basically towered over us and we were high enough in altitude to receive a lot of clouds. It was a cool morning. Richard slept quietly and didn't stir a bit as I took my shower and got ready for school. Of course I had a couple of moments where I had to check on Richard to make sure his eyes were closed and not awake staring at my bare naked body. But he was knocked out cold. I guess vampires can't wake up during the day no matter what. I wondered if I could stake him. I hardly doubt anyone would miss him.

There was a knock at my door and I quickly gave my head one last shake before I headed out in my bath robe and checked the spy scope on my door. John Rye was outside with a stern teacher look. He wore a white t-shirt and dark jeans with an impatient expression. I gave a muffled giggle and opened the door as wide as it could with the chain lock still in place.

"Yes?" I said in a leveled voice.

He didn't look at me. I guess he could tell I wasn't dressed. "Can I come in?"

"What do you think?" I raised an eyebrow. Seriously, a girl is naked under a robe and he's still going to ask if he could come in? Dayum.

"I think it's a no but it's best if I come in so I can tell you the news for your great escape." He explained but he didn't need to say anymore. I was already unlocking the door to let him in. John Rye immediately rushed in and closed the door silently behind him. He noticed Richard in deep sleep and swiftly walked over to the windows and drew the black blinds closed. Within in seconds Richard stirred from his sleep. He looked like a morning mess with his messy hair and a groggy expression. The first thing that came out of his mouth was "I'm hungry." In a deep low growl.

I grabbed a scarf from the hanger and wrapped it quickly around my neck and heard him give a small snicker.

"Save your thirst for later." John said as he took a seat on a small chair. His long legs stretched out as he crossed his arms across his chest. Oh what nice biceps you have Mr. Rye...

"So what's the plan?" I asked hoping it'd be an easy solution.

"Wait it out." He said simply.

What?

"Obviously it'd be stupid to just try and escape now. In a week or so Cristanto will forget you ever existed and you can be on your merry way out."

"I can't stay in here all week! That'll kill me!" I groaned. This is worse than prison. What the hell am I going to do for a week?

"I can bring my xbox and we could play video games perhaps after school hours? Or maybe I could just leave it in your room in case you get bored during the day. And uh Richard will be here from time to time to keep you company."

Richard's eyes bugged out. "You mean I'm staying here all week using up my free time?"

John Rye nodded. Oh this cannot be good for this soul of mine. More to blame on my mother.

All that day I played games, ate a bunch of junk food, and even went online. I researched Lignumvitae and found out the schools been around since 1800's. It existed long before that too but not as a school it was at first a hospital, then even further back in the 14th century, a church, and farther back a castle that belonged to a man named Florent Godfields. Hm... any relationship to Cristanto Godfields?

Anyway it was night now. Richard was in the room by the time I was in bed. He shifted around with his papers and sat at the desk to write. I had my eyes closed a bit wary from my boring day. "What are you doing? Do you people actually have homework?"

After a moment's silence he replied with a no and continued to write. "It's actually a log of how many years I've spent here. I write in all the events that happened so far. Not that there are many but recently I've had a couple of interesting happenings I feel like mentioning." The tone of the voice hinted that he meant me.

"Well I'm glad I made your stay at his prison hold interesting for you." I turned to my side with a small and satisfied smile.

I saw Cristanto once again in the same rose garden with that smirk on his face. He seemed amused that I was there again. No surprise I had no idea what the hell I was doing back in that garden. He approached me with smooth strides and I stood frozen while he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"You came to me Iris..." he whispered in my ear before licking it.

I felt my face flush with warmth. "The hell I did."

His hands traveled up and down my stomach gently. "Admit it. You came to me because you know somehow you want to be with me."

"I hardly... know you." I paused because he was now squeezing my boob in one hand and I sadly admit that my body responded to his touch.

"You'll want to know me." He said in a soft voice. "Otherwise this dream would've never happened."

I wondered if this really was a dream. He was touching me all over and the things I felt to his words and actions were as real as it gets. Even while he extended those fangs of his I was not fighting against him at all and I leaned my head away to willingly expose my neck.

Those sharp canines punctured my skin and the pain was unbearable to say the least. I tensed up until he started to drink from me and as I felt myself slowly being devoured I couldn't help but feel lighter and lighter as if the ground disappeared from my feet.

Oh what a feeling it is to feel like I'm flying off the ground.

Strange but surprisingly wonderful.
