Thomas is a usually happy kid, he is competitive though and hates it when others beat him down to win. His mother is a workaholic, coming home after he is asleep and leaving before he is awake. He was practically living by himself. His best friend Andrew has trouble with girls all the time and Thomas helps him with his experiences, these two are pretty much inseparable.
Benjamin is doomed to live a short life.
He is teased at school for being different, for being sick.
He doesn't want friends who feel obligated to stay, so instead spends most of his time alone, either listening to music or boarding, his 2 favourite things, And as far as he knows he is straight. His Father only wants what's best for him, while his Mother only wants him to get better.
There is no getting better when you have cancer though.
