Easy To Hate?

Pt.3

"...Yeah, this is Kammy." I replied to the mystery caller.
"Hey Kammy! This is Mack, from your world history class?"
I'll admit it... I wanted it to be Nick... But Mack is a nice guy.
He likes me, and he makes it very obvious.
"Hey Mack, whats up?" I asked, trying to hide my dissapointment...
"Are you doing anything tonight?" he asked.
Okay, its not that I dislike the guy, its just that he can be annoying.
"I'm so sorry Mack, but I have to study." I said, thanking God I didn't have to lie. I am absolutely horrible at lying!
"Oh... It's okay... See you tomorrow," he said, sounding crushed.
"Look Mack, I'm out at the courtyard right now, just chilling. How bout you come down and hang with me?" I said, feeling sorry for him.
"Uh, sure. That'd be great. See you in five." he said. I could tell he was excited.
I really didn't think I had a right to turn this guy down. He is, in my opinion, very... hot. We'll put it that way. He has straight black hair, piercing blue eyes, and the most perfect smile.
I, however, have boring thick brown hair thats a total pain in the ass, and green eyes. I've been called "Cindy Lou Who" by former middle school classmates... They were referring to my nose, it sort of resembles a "Who's"
I heard footsteps behind me. Damn, he was fast.
"Hi Kammy." he said, taking a place on the bench with me.
"Whats up?" I asked.
"I'm just going to be totally honest with you... I like you. A lot. And I know I am making this seem like middle school. So, terribly sorry." he said laughing a little to ease the possible tension. <p> "I like you too...But-"
"Not in that way?" he cut me off.
"I'm still not completely over my ex." I told him.
He just sat there...
"What? I thought we were being honest here?" I said.
"Does he go here?" Mack asked.
"No. He's in a band." I told him.
"So, I don't have a shot in hell?" he asked.
"Why would you say that?" I asked.
"Obviously this guy has something. He's in a band, he had you, and you still want him. Must be a real catch?" he asked.
"Uh, are you complimenting me?" I asked.
"I guess in a way... Yeah." he said, looking straight at me. "You loved him didn't you?"
"Yeah. But his band got a record deal, so he ended it. Okay?" I told him.
"Wait... This... Guy, is he from The All-American Rejects?" Mack asked.
I completely froze. "How did you know that?" I asked.
"Well come on, I filled in the blanks. Oklahoma. Band. Record label. Rejects." he said.
"They're big? Wait what?!" I questioned.
"Kind of... They have a song. It's pretty catchy actually. Swing, Swing, ever heard it?" Mack asked.
"Know it? I was there when they wrote it!" I said. Un-freaking-believable... They got big... Damnit!!!
