Silent Angel Crashes Through the Sky

Chapter 25

"I've been meaning to get someone in the Dandy house," Jared muttered as I finished discussing our predicament. "Who was that boy we almost converted the other year?" he asked looking at the two vampires behind him. Shannon and Tomo shrugged.

"I don't think we ever learned his name." Shannon frowned, seeming very thoughtful for a moment. "We stopped trying after him. He got away before we could kill him." I shrugged.

"Well, it's not an easy task, I'm sure. Converting a Dandy is probably impossible. They love William and their lifestyle too much. I don't think we should focus on trying to change them. We just have to focus on getting rid of them.

"Well, it's always worth a try," Poison chimed in. "Who knows, maybe someone's being held there against their will. I mean, Pete was turned by William, but he certainly doesn't love him." I frowned at his example, but understood what he meant. I nodded simply.

"I guess you're right. But, how could we possibly figure out who's willing to help? I don't think it'll be easy to track down a Dandy, and merely hope that they'll want to give up the easiest life in existence to help his dinner take down his dad."

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a flash of pale white skin at the window whizzing by, and there was a sudden knock at the door. Pete was there in the blink of an eye before I could even respond, running past me with a growl. I felt my heart jump nervously. The other vampires went after him before me or anyone else could stop him. Pete opened the door, and threw himself at whoever stood there. I ran with the others to the hallway and outside. Pete was holding someone to the ground, surrounded by Echelon, Brian, and Jimmy.

"What are you doing here?" Pete asked loudly and angrily at the man under him. I forced my way to the circle, and saw Brendon on the ground. I scowled.

"Oh for the love of..." I saw Brendon's dark eyes flicker up to me, and then behind me. His lip twitched and he hissed.

"Holy shit," I heard Matt say, now behind me. "That's the mother fucker who tried to turn me." My eyes widened as my blood boiled.

"You mother fucker," I started, moving towards Brendon with clenched fists. "You piece of trash, how dare you!" Brendon looked at me with a small smile as Brian put his hands on my shoulders, pushing me back.

"Sticks and stones, sweetie," Brendon said, holding my eye contact. Pete punched his face a few times, shaking him so he would look at him.

"Why the fuck are you here, Urie?" Pete growled. Brendon sighed, moving his body uncomfortably.

"Look, I heard you guys talking-"

"Patrick, get me a stake," Pete interrupted. Brendon rolled his eyes.

"Let me finish. I heard you guys talking, and... I... I want to help." His eyes changed, and they held no anger or sarcasm or superiority. They were different. I hadn't seen him like that in a very long time. I ground my teeth together, feeling a lump come to my throat because I couldn't stop myself from seeing the old Brendon.

"Get the fuck out of here," I said. He looked at me, almost hurt.

"I'm not lying, Clark."

"How dare you come around here. You are some kind of fucked up, Urie," I hissed angrily. He looked back at Pete, who had his hands around Brendon's neck tightly. Brendon had his own on Pete's trying to pry them off. He swallowed hard.

"I just want to help. I've lived with my mistakes for too long. I've let William control me for too long. I just want to help." Brendon closed his eyes. Pete loosened his grip, and I tried to move towards them, but Brian held me back.

"Why do you want to help?" Pete asked skeptically. Brendon looked back at me quickly, then back to Pete.

"I don't want to be the bad guy anymore. I just want to be with my friends again. I miss being happy." His eyes went to me again and I rolled my own eyes with a scoff.

"You're so full of shit. Why the fuck did you try to turn Matt?" He looked off to the side, somewhat sheepishly.

"I don't want to talk about it. I won't do it again. Please give me a chance." Pete looked up at Jared.

"What do you say?" Pete asked, knowing that he could read Brendon's mind. Jared was silent for a moment, but nodded twice.

"No!" I said, throwing my hands up in exasperation. "Just stake him, Pete!" Jared shook his head, looking at me.

"Clark, calm down. He's telling the truth. He wants to help us." His eyes moved back and forth from me to Brendon. "He only wants what's best for you, Clark." Brendon growled, and I scoffed again.

"Personal thoughts are personal, Leto. She doesn't want to hear that."

"Now how the fuck do you know him?" He rolled his eyes, not saying anything. Jared smiled at me.

"This is the boy we tried to convert the other year. Brendon Urie, is it? Nice to see you again." Jared held his hand out to him, and Brendon shook it quickly. "Glad you're finally seeing the light, so to speak," Jared said with a smile. I clenched my fists and ground my teeth tightly, not believing my eyes or my ears. Pete slowly removed his hands, standing up. I backed up, and stormed back into the house. I heard Matt call after me and I could hear his footsteps following me.

"Clark, please, don't shut down on me. Or the rest of us. This is an incredible step in the right direction for us. Can't you see that?" I shook my head.

"All I can see is a blood thirsty, murderous vampire pretending to be the man I used to trust with my life." I was walking up the stairs now, and Matt was following close behind. He put a hand on my arm.

"If I can forgive him for trying to turn me, then I'm sure you can forgive him for becoming a Dandy and doing what he was taught to do." I stopped walking and turned to scoff at him.

"How could you possibly forgive him for trying to kill you?" He shrugged, shaking his head.

"Because there's really no other option available. Forgiving him is what I need to do. And it's what you need to do, too. I know you're still even getting used to forgiving your brother, but I know you can do it. You have so much love inside of you, but you've pushed it so deep down. I don't know all the details of your life, but I know that there is nothing so horrible in this world that can turn you into cruel and heartless bitch. You still have some forgiveness in you. It will take time, of course, but I know that all the potential in the world is sitting right inside of your heart. Just think about it." With that he placed a simple kiss on my lips and headed back outside.

I sighed, feeling another lump form in my throat. I pushed more tears back. I didn't want to start crying again. Not for Brendon. I was sick of crying for the ones I used to love.

I turned back around and headed up to my room. I shut the door behind me and let the tears flow.

Hey all!
Sorry it's out so late. I was away for a road trip and DCI competition in Pennsylvania with some friends, and I had zero time to write. But, I wrote this just now for you all because I love you :)
Thanks so much to ItWasAlwaysMe for commenting again <3
And, for those who also read my other story Les Oiseaux De Mauvaise Augure, I will probably, hopefully, be updating that at the end of the week. There are only two chapters (hopefully) left and I can't figure out how to start writing them. I have the summaries written so I know how I want to to go, I just don't know how to start writing.
Gosh I'm tired. Absolutely exhausted.
But, I hope you enjoyed this chapter!!! Woot Brendon is joining the team!
Thanks so much for reading guys!
