Juliek's Violin

If any of you are familiar with the book "Night", then this scene may be familiar to you.
As it were, my assignment was to choose a scene from "Night" and re-write it from another point of view.

I chose a scene in which Juliek (a Polish Jew) stops to rest in Gleiwitz with the other prisoners of the Death March.
If you're not up for something somber, please move on.

I would very much appreciate feedback on this one, seeing as how the other students who peer-edited my first draft barely gave any feedback at all; they all gave me perfect scores. Regardless, I would really like some fresh, new opinions.
It would mean a lot to me.

Thank you in advance.
  1. one.
    and only.
