Candy shot up in bed; blond hair dampened against her forehead. Her breathing was heavy and never ending it seemed. Her room was dark and cool from air conditioning. Sheets were covering her modestly dressed pajamas her bed warm from the heat of her body. Slowly, she reassured herself that it was just a nightmare. Vampires didn’t exist. Of course they didn’t. Vampires only existed in story books and the media of Hollywood. Even she knew that. Sighing and casting a weary glance over her bedroom, she fell back onto her pillow, not closing her eyes just yet. Vampires were just imaginary, right? If so, then why did it still feel like she had those horrid spiders crawling through her?
