Contagious Chemistry

Her lips trembled,
she was neither smiling nor frowning.
Her eyes were filled with tears yet they had not made their way down her cheek;
her hands were spaced about in a claw like position shaking ever so slightly.
Her eyes had a look of occupation-
as if they were grasping onto the little control of her body she had left.
Her heart beat was rapidly racing,
her breath came out in short gasps.
She closed her eyelids and let the tears make tracks down her face revealing her natural skin tone contrasting against her foundation.
Whilst making a mockery of her carefully applied eyeliner and mascara.
In an outward breath she whispered please stay, please?
It was almost inaudible.
And still he walked on.
