A bright red sandal was on the side of the street, new apparently.
How exactly did it get there?
Was it brought here by a dog, no there are no teeth marks from what I can see, and the straps were still intact. So, a dog didn’t bring it here.
Then was it forgotten, but, why? It’s new and it’s not necessarily awful, it’s actually somewhat appealing, and with the right set of clothes I’m sure it would make a decent outfit.
What would make a person leave just one sandal, unless it was unintentional? It could have just slipped, no, that wouldn’t make sense, they would figure out that their sandal was missing eventually, by the simple fact of the cold concrete or the uneven steps that comes with wearing only one sandal.
Were they mugged? What a ludicrous idea, we’re inside a military base, the chances of that happening are slim, besides, were on an intersection, a busy one at that, even at night it must be busy.
A small child appeared and took the red shoe, laughing at the top of his lungs saying ‘he found it’.
Or, perhaps a sandal is just a sandal.

This was just bothering me so much, My dad was driving by the street and I see this Bright red shoe and i couldn't get it out of my head. So, I can continue to write my main story I wrote this, and sorry if it's really short.
