Minutes to Midnight.

"Wake up!" One of the Guards snapped. There was a blinding light, and I landed with a 'thud' on my ass.

"Yeah, good morning to you too, starshine."I said sarcastically as the Guard lifted me to my feet and pushed me along.

"Where's Mia and Draco?!" I snapped, refusing to walk.

"We're right here, we're okay." Came Mia's voice. I looked at her and she sadly smiled. I grumbled and walked.

Only once we were in some room at Court that this Veronica chick would enter were our hands released. But still still guarded all the exits.

Feh, it's like hey didn't trust me or something.

I was standing in-between Mia (to my left) and Adrian (to my right) with Draco on MiMi's left. In front of us was some big, fancy-shmancy chair that Queen Veronica would be sitting in.

"It's all downhill from here, Belle." Adrian murmured to me. I nodded and subconciously grabbed Adrian's hand. Why do I keep doing that?

Adrian looked at me and smiled sadly. "It'll be alright."

"Tch, no it won't."

"Yeah...I know."

"Bow for our lady, Queen Veronica Piper!" Some new Guard said as he entered.

Mia and Draco hesitantly bowed, Adrian sighed and bowed, I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Belle, bow." Adrian growled at me. I shook my head. Yupp, I'm the defiant one.

"Not bowing to your queen...must be a Bourdain." Queen Veronica smiled at me. Bitchy turd.

Veronica motioned for the others to rise and I nodded. "Isabelle Maria Bourdain, thank you very much."

"Ahh, Nikita's dear daughter." She smiled at Adrian now. "Adrian my dear, welcome back."

Adrian scoffed. "Can't say I missed the place."

Veronica's smile never faultered. That was gonna seriously piss me off. "You must be wondering why you're here."

And you're really starting to piss me off, lady! I thought.

I bit my lip so I wouldn't laugh. Adrian grabbed my hand and gave me the, 'Don't dare say anything stupid' look. I squeezed his hand to resist.

"Well, you're here for a wedding." She continued.

"Shweet! Who's?!" This actually excited me. I'd never actually been to a wedding and probably wouldn't be to one anytime soon the way Sasuke and Itachi were. Stupid homos.

Mia and Adrian's face showed pure shock, Draco's was confused as hell, and I was happy like a kid in a candy store. I love weddings, so? What was the problem?

"I'm glad you're so enthusiastic."

"Why?"

Mia rubbed her temples and Adrian pinched the bridge of his nose. Did I say something stupid?

"It'll be you're wedding." My jaw dropped. This was fucked up! "To Adrian." All of our jaws dropped. NOW it was seriously fucked the fuck up.

"Say whaa...?" Mia said, her head to the side.

"What in bloody hell?!" Draco exclaimed, outraged.

"Say what?!" Adrian and I yelled. Well, that was awkward on about ten different levels...

"I'm not even fifteen yet! That's not even freaking possible!" I protested.

"Ah, here at Court you can marry at seventeen within the Royal Families. Or..." Veronica trailed off.

I was afraid to ask. "Or...what...?"

"If the bride-to-be is sixteen she can. If she is with-child or has a child."

Once again, all four of our jaws dropped.

"That's insanity!" Mia and I exclaimed.

Veronica, who looked no more than mid-thirties (and for all I know was three-hundred), eyed Mia carefully. "Aha, a Richards girl."

"Yeah! She's royalty too! And best friend to me - Princess Bourdain!" Ugh, I did not like calling myself 'princess'. I tried to burn all those damn fairy-tale books Sasuke and Itachi read to me as a kid.

"But she has no reason to be here. Lazarus, please escort Mr. Malfoy and Miss Richards home safely." The Guard nodded and took MiMi and Draco away. I resisted crying in front of people.

"Now than, Ivan, please get Princess Bourdain and Prince Cromwell settled in their room." Another Guard nodded and led us upstairs.
