Wham Bam Thank You Ma'am

Jackass Is More Like It

"This worries me," Ferin stated again as they passed a sign indicating that they were indeed nearing West Chester. "I want to know what he's doing."

Tash thought quietly for a moment. She couldn't even venture a guess as to what Bam was up to, especially with all his friends 'helping' him out.

"I don't know either," she couldn't ease her friend's worries, "but I think that's your phone."

Ferin looked puzzled for a moment before grabbing her cell off the dash of the truck and answering it. "Hello?"

"Where are you?"

Ferin hesitated on telling him the truth but her conscience got the better of her. "We're going to Tash's new house to drop off the horse trailer." She paused for a moment, "why?"

"Good," he stated. "Stay there."

"Bam for how - " the phone began beeping so she flicked it shut, "he hung up on me," she informed Natasha and tossed it back onto the dash of the truck.

"Typical Bam."

Ferin and Tash had just entered West Chester and were no longer traveling in the pitch dark. The street lights lit everything up.

"Going straight to the house?"

Ferin nodded. She thought about ignoring Bam's orders, and going straight to his house, but she really didn't want to be the one to ruin his plans. He always seemed so bummed out when things didn't go his way and he obviously had something planned. She sighed and turned the truck off one of the main roads in West Chester and the street lights became fewer and farther between. Oh well, as long as he didn't do anything to her, she was happy.
They found the house and Ferin pulled into the driveway before turning onto the lawn and backing the trailer up close to the door.

"Good enough for you?" Ferin asked and Tash nodded before both girls hopped out of the truck.

The sound of sirens caught their attention and for a fleeting moment Ferin could have sworn they were coming closer until they quit all together.

"Hmmm someone's in trouble," Tash smiled as she closed the door to the passenger side.

"Yeah," Ferin stood still, fixated on the end of the driveway. "We are."

Natasha turned to look where her friend was looking. Two cop cars pulled into the driveway, their blue and red lights flashing but sirens off. They parked so there was no way Ferin and Tash could drive away.

"My neighbors are going to hate me," Tash muttered, it was all she could think of at the moment.

A cop emerged from the farthest patrol car and Ferin recognized him as the same officer who'd arrested them before for the theft of Bam's hummer.

"Hands away from your pockets," his voice boomed. "Place them flat on the hood of your vehicle, legs apart."

"Are you fucking kidding me?" Ferin groaned, placing her hands on the hood of her truck. Tash doing the same on the opposite side.

A female cop approached them and checked them out before handcuffing them both.

"Let's go." She grabbed Tash by the elbow and began leading her back to the second patrol car, while the guy helped Ferin towards his squad car.

"Can I ask what we did this time?"

The cop frowned. "You'll see in a few mintues."

Ape put the finishing touches on her trays of veggies and dip, and fruit. She'd also made up random trays of different kinds of chips, and salsas. And platters of small dessert squares. It'd taken her nearly two hours but she was impressed with what she'd accomplished.

"What are you doin?" Phil asked her as he made his way towards the island in the pirate bar to inspect her work.

"Making some snacks for the kids," April smiled, drying her hands on a tea towel before placing it on the counter.

Phil snatched a piece of watermelon off one of the fruit trays and looked her in the eyes. "Do you think this is what Bam wanted?"

April shrugged. "He wouldn't tell me what kind of food. So this is what he gets."

"Hope he doesn't wreck it Ape, you know him."

April's smile slowly disappeared. In the silence, the rumbling of an engine caught both her and Phil's attention.

"What is that?" April asked her husband opening up the door outside just in time to catch Bam and some of the guys run towards the front of the house laughing.

"Doesn't sound like a normal truck engine," Phil confirmed Ape's fears as they both headed outside, April jogging and Phil hurrying as fast as he could in the dark behind her towards the front of the house. When the large bus came into view Ape stopped dead in her tracks.

"Bam!"

Bam turned around to see his mother and grinned before walking towards her. "What?"

She was wide eyed and pointed to the bus. "What the hell is this? Another band?"

Bam shook his head and smiled. "No," the door to the bus woooshed open and people began pouring out, "I sent the CKY crew out yesterday to post signs all over West Chester saying that the first two hundred people over twenty one to meet the bus in the parking lot of Fairman's could come to the party."

Ape was speechless. Hoards of kids, twenty one and older continued to pile out of the bus, forming a line as they followed Raab and Dunn into the backyard.

"Bam, we can't have two hundred people in the backyard!" Ape shrieked.

"Well we don't have much choice now do we?" Bam grinned as the bus maneuvered it's way around vehicles and parked along the side of the snake run driveway.

Ape sighed in defeat. "Where is Brandon, I haven't seen him all night?"

Bam glanced at his mother. "Which one?"

"DiCo," Ape quickly realised her mistake. She was thankful they all had nicknames because three Brandons in the same house was hard to keep track of.

"Oh," Bam glanced at his watch before looking up at her. "I sent him and Rake to Duffer's to pick up the booze and a bartender."

"A bartender?" Phil asked before Ape could. "What do you need a bartender for Bam?"

"Glomb built a bar," Bam informed them with a laugh. "Didn't you see it when you came running out here?"

Ape shook her head and along with her husband, followed Bam around the house again to the backyard. Sure enough at the far end of the pool was a half assed unpainted wooden fence, complete with Saloon style doors. A table for a bar, and picnic tables for the 'customers' to sit at.

"What do you think of that fat boy?"

Phil grinned. "That's pretty cool, Bam."

"Don't encourage him," Ape scorned him. "Where do you want your food?"

"Over there," Bam pointed to a couple tables set up along the side of the pool.

"Yo Bam!"

Bam turned around to see Novak coming towards him, a beer already in hand. "Glomb wants to know when to start the fire."

Ape pointed to his beer. "If the booze isn't here, where did you get that?"

Novak smiled. "Out of the fridge."

Rolling her eyes Ape and Phil headed in the house to bring out the foor while Bam wandered down to the fire pit to see Glomb and Cartz hucking logs into the rock lined hole.

"Did you even think about how to start this thing?" Glomb tossed his last log in and stood up straight.

"Gasoline," Knoxville answered for Bam as he approached the group, a container of gasoline in hand.

"Where did you get that?" Bam asked curiously.

Dunn grinned. "We syphened it out of Ape's PT Loser."

The guys were at least smart enough to step back as Knoxville poured the gasoline over the logs. Dunn lit a piece of paper on fire with his cigarette lighter and tossed it in after. The woosh and sudden flash of light caught people's attention as the bon fire began to burn brightly.

"Looks like we brought the right thing."

The female voice caught their attention, causing all the guys to turn around and see Missy, Jessica and a couple other of their friends approach.

Dunn laughed. "You made it onto the bus?"

Missy nodded and extended her hand, holding the large bag out in front of her.

"Fuckin rights," Novak beamed, snatching the large bag of marshmellows away from her.

Ferin rode silently in the back of the cop car. This time he'd gotten her handcuffs a little tight and it was hurting. She occasionally glanced out the back window to ensure the other cop car was following close behind. She had no idea what the hell was going on, but she didn't want to be too far away from Natasha.

"Some boyfriend you got there."

Ferin was startled for a moment, she hadn't expected him to talk to her at all, let alone start talking about her love life.

"He's an asshole," Ferin muttered, she couldn't help but think that he was perhaps behind everything that was happening right now.

The cop laughed. A first for him. He always looked so stern. "Jackass is more like it."

Ferin wasn't going to dispute that. "This was his idea wasn't it?"

"If I told you, would you still chew him out?" he glanced in the rearview mirror at her and she nodded.

"Without a doubt."

The cop chuckled again and the rest of the ride to Bam's house was traveled in silence. The cop cars were buzzed through the gate and they drove slowly up the snake run driveway. Novak appeared through the darkness and approached the driver's side of the car before climbing into the passenger side.

"Yo babe." He grinned, looking at Ferin over his shoulder while the cop drove up onto the grass and around to the back of the house.

Ferin sucked in her breath when she saw all the people. There was no way she was getting out of this car. Not with everyone now looking directly at her.

"Welcome to your party." Novak smiled and climbed out of the car as the passenger door in the back seat opened.

Bam poked his head in the car and grinned. "How did you like that escort?"

She glared at him. "I liked it so much I'm going to stay put."

Bam frowned. "Awwww are you grouchy?"

"You try getting handcuffed for no reason," she snarled, "then taken to a huge ass party, where everyone is watching you, and you're asked to get out and make a grand entrance."

Bam laughed and climbed into the back seat beside her. The cop turned around in the front seat and passed Bam the keys to the cuffs through the grates. Bam undid the one around her left wrist and in an un-expected twist, did it up around his right wrist before putting the keys into the pocket of his 69 Eyes sweater. "There you have to come with me now."

Ferin growled at him. "You're going to regret being stuck with me."

"I doubt it," Bam thanked the cop and basically dragged her out of the back of the car.

"Hey Bam! No stupid shit tonight alright, I don't want to have to come back here."

Bam nodded and closed the door.

"Ferin!"

Ferin turned around to see Tash hurrying towards her, handcuffless.

"Why doesn't she have to stay handcuffed to Knoxville?" Ferin asked as Bam began pulling her towards the crowd, she waved awkwardly at her friend with her left hand before following Bam willingly through the crowd. That was until she realised where he was taking her.

"I'm not going on stage." Ferin stopped and Bam jerked lightly on the handcuffs. "Yes you are. I have to introduce them."

"No Bam please," she pleaded, the cop car entrance was bad enough.

"Yes Ferin yes." He smiled before pulling her up the side steps onto the stage and the crowd began cheering.

"The girlfriend didn't find the cop car ride nearly as amusing as me," Bam laughed into the microphone, side glancing at Ferin. The crowed errupted in laughter.

"Say hi," Bam urged her. Sighing she raised her hand in the air, waving at everyone.

"Alright you fuckers," Bam moved so that the micrphone was between them, that way everyone could here both of them. "It's time to get this party rolling," he glanced at Ferin, "I have a present for you."

"Oh yeah?" she asked him cautiously, she wasn't sure she could handle too many more surprises.

"Yes," Bam smiled. "I know your favorite band is The 69 Eyes," he paused as the band entered onto the stage. "So I got them to come play just for you."

Ferin couldn't help but smile as Jyrki69 approached her, taking her free hand in his and kissing the back of her hand lightly.

"Does that get me out of the dog house?" Bam asked her.

She nodded. "Yeah...for now."

Bam handed the mic to Jyrki and he began to talk to the crowd as she followed Bam off the stage and down around to the front where the CKY crew and a few other's were hanging out. Melissa had joined them as well, causing Dunn to be creepily happy.

The band kicked in and they started off with the song Wrap Your Troubles In Dreams. Ferin smiled and turned to Bam. She couldn't stand in front of him with her back to him due to the handcuffs, but she could face him.

"Thank you." She smiled up at him.

"You're welcome." He leaned down and brushed his lips over hers.

She laughed softly afterwards. "Just promise me no more cops alright?"

He cracked that sly grin that usually meant trouble. "Alright."

Ferin stepped back and they headed to the make shift 'bar' for drinks before returning to the stage, to enjoy the rest of the show.

Afterwards Bam again dragged her up to the stage. At least by this time, she'd had a few drinks, and was no longer as embarassed.

The 69 Eyes crew hung out behind them as Bam approached the mic again keeping it between them. "So how'd you like that?"

The crowd screamed and Ferin grinned. "It was amazing."

"Well," Bam smiled at her, "I have one more present for you."

Ferin laughed when she heard Timo-Timo mutter that he felt sorry for her.

"Wanna know what it is?"

"Yeah," she nodded.

"Well, we have to walk to see it though." Bam pouted but Ferin laughed.

"That's fine."

"Alright, follow me." Bam pulled her back down the steps of the stage with the band, and the entire crowd not far behind them.

Ferin had no idea where Bam was taking her. Since she'd been here she hadn't noticed a damn thing near the 'forest' on his property. Let alone something that would be for her.

A few mintues later Bam stopped walking and so did everyone else. "Glomb get the lights!"

Ferin watched intently into the darkness when suddenly a few lights illuminated from beneath what looked like a blue tarp.

"Pull that bitch off," Bam instructed somebody. It was clear to Ferin that they'd rehearsed this.

Soon she couldn't believe what she was staring at, and she was sure she looked like an idiot standing there with her mouth gaping open.

"Think that will keep those two hay burners you have happy?"

"Oh my god, Bam." She pulled him towards it so she could get a better look at it. "Are you serious?"

He nodded. "It's all yours." He turned slightly, and pointed out into the crowd, "and Glomb's gonna build you a fence out there so they don't have to stay in this thing all the time."

Ferin laughed and suddenly jumped into his arms, causing him to stumble backwards and both of them to fall to the ground. The crowd laughed but she suddenly didn't care about them.

"Thank you sooo much."

He grinned up at her through the darkness. "You're welcome babe."

At that point she couldn't help it, her lips found his and she was sure they would have stayed there far longer if Novak hadn't pulled them apart.
