About Falling

Seen Him Before

-Beginning-

Cheyenne stood quietly behind the desk at the craft store that she worked at during the day. It wasn't what she really wanted to spend her life doing, but it got her the money she needed for food and bills. All she could think about was the possibility that Jake would be waiting for her at her apartment later that night. It terrified her. The man she believed to be her highschool sweetie, and the man of her dreams, showed himself as an abusive alcoholic over a few months ago. Even though she told him it was over, and even though she avoided him at every chance she could get, he didn't seem to leave her life.

She stood up more for better posture when she saw a group of older men walk through the doors. She took a deep breath and couldn't help but think "Oh boy."

"YO, get the shit we need and lets go!" One of the men yelled. Chey couldn't tell which one, there had to have been at least 5 or 6 of them.

All of them seperated and searched through the store. This made Cheyenne a bit nervous. She bit her lip as she heard a loud crashing noise and pushed strands of her auburn hair behind her ear. As she turned to get a manager, her deep blue eyes came face to face with bright blue orbs. Her eyes widened as she got a small look at this blue-eyed, black haired male. He has a devilish smirk on his face which oddly enough interested Cheyenne, but also made her fear for the store's condition.

"Hi." He held his smirk. "Do you guys have paint?"

His voice was soft like music but had a hint of sneakiness to it. It was something that made Chey's heart skip a beat and melt a little.

"Um...this way." She pushed past him gently and led him to a corner of the store that contained shelves of colorful paint.

"Perfect, thank you."

She nodded and turned on her heal to return to the counter. In the back of her mind, wheels started turning and her brain tried to process where she possibly could have seen him before. Despite how much she wanted to shake the thought from her head, her mind wouldn't allow this thought to be dismissed until it was satisfied with an answer.

"We'll take all these." Another man, kind of scruffy looking, with dirty blonde hair and a beard said to her while referring to a cart full of maybe 10 or more cans of a nasty yellow-green color.

"Sure thing." She replied hesitantly and started to check them out. The whole time she couldn't help but feel eyes on her. And when she looked up to give the change back to whoever paid, she made eye contact once again with the beautiful-eyed boy.

After her shift ended, Cheyenne headed out into the parking lot to find that one of the paint cans had been poured in the lot and it was spread over quite a view spots. She sighed loudly and clutched her bag, pulling it over her head and onto her shoulder. She walked down the street slowly. There was no use in driving when her apartment was only 7 blocks away. She could use the exercise anyway.

She opened the door and pushed it open, stepped in and closed it behind her. The lights were already on and she sighed quietly. She had been right earlier about Jake. She set her bag on the counter along with her keys and entered the living room.

"Finally, you're home." Jake stood up and pulled her into a hug. Afriad of what he'd do if she pushed away, she hugged him back. He smiled and kissed her. He tasted like alcohol. Cheyenne didnt know which to feel more: fear, or disgust.

"You've been drinking?"

"Why is that a problem?" He snaps.

"No, not at all!" She faked a smile and quickly turned away. "I'm going to shower and get some sleep, I have work tomorrow." She lied.

Since he didn't answer, Cheyenne left the room and proceeded to undress and shower. She got under the hot water and cleansed herself, thinking about that guy from the store. As she stepped out, dried herself, and settled down in bed, she finally relaxed her back and shut her eyes. The minute she did, she realized that the man she met today, was none other than Bam Margera.

Sorry it's so short. I'm nervous about writing a Bam romance, seeing as how I've never written one before. But let me know what you think and send me a message or comment and the next chapter will be posted soon!
