The Writers Weren't Kidding About How All Good Things Must End

Like A Cold Day In August I was Not Prepared For This

Whisper's P.O.V.

My wet pony tail repeatedly slapped me on the back as I ran into the airport eagerly waiting for my friends to get off their plane. I ran to a little tv monitor and checked the departures and arrivals. I saw that their plane was already on the ground at Gate 22. They had been grounded for about 15 minutes already. I looked for the nearest gate and I saw it was Gate 10. I groaned and started to sprint in the direction of Gate 22.

I ended up having to go upstairs and to the other side of the terminal to reach Gate 22. I arrived just as the last person walked out. I swore angrily and just whirled around to sprint towards the baggage claim when my phone rang. I picked it up and answered it without looking at the caller ID.
"Hello?"
"Whisper Chislett! Where the hell are you?! Why aren't you training?!"
"Hi Dad, I had to meet my friends at the airport. But don't worry, I have to go running across the airport anyway, so I'm getting my exercise."
"You had better fuckin' be! You have to win that triathlon coming up!"
"Dad, I'm gonna be ready for it. Don't stress."
"I want you home in two hours and in the pool swimming!"
"But Dad! I need to spend some time with my friends!"
"You don't HAVE any time for friends! You need that first place!"
I sighed.
"Yes Dad."
"Good girl."
"Bye."
"Two hours."
Then he hung up. I flipped my phone shut and shoved my phone into my pocket. I shook my head and looked at my watch. It would take at least an hour and a half to get home. I then decided that I had enough time to at least say hi to my friends so I sprinted to the baggage claim as fast as I could.

I made it to the baggage claim in under two minutes. I stopped in the thick of the people and anxiously looked at my watch. 28 minutes until I have to leave the airport. I heard extra loud laughing and instinctively I turned to the source of the laughter and to my relief and joy I saw the friends I was looking for.
"BILLY!!!" I screamed and sprinted to the tall figure.
The figure turned around just in time to see me pounce on him.
"AGH!" he yelled as we tumbled to the ground.
I laughed and hugged him tightly.
"Who are you?" he asked, throwing me off.
I rolled and sat up, confused. I looked around to see the guys and all of them were looking at me weirdly. None of them remembered me. I felt completely crushed. I looked up at my brother and he squinted at me.
"Y...You don't remember me?" I whispered.
"Should we?" Sisky asked.
Tears welled up in my eyes. They really didn't remember. My best friends...my only friends had totally forgotten about me when they went on tour. Tears slipped down my cheeks as I stood up. I stood awkwardly away from them and through slightly blurry eyes I turned and started to walk away from them.
"Sorry, wrong person," I mumbled.
"Wait!" I heard my brother yell.
I turned around sadly and looked at him. He looked at me as if I was a puzzle he was trying to figure out.
"I feel like I know you...or knew you..." he said.
I shrugged dejectedly. Yeah, I'm only your sister.
"Probably saw me at one of your shows," I said quietly.
Or it could be because I was the one to introduce you to the guys.
"I guess...sorry. For a second I thought...never mind. Have a good day," he said and smiled at me.
I gave him a small, forced smile and turned back and walked away with my head down.

2 hours later I had music blasting while I swam hard, fast laps in our Olympic size pool. Yeah, Olympic size. We've got cash. Or I should say my Dad has cash. I don't have any because he takes all my winnings in sports events and uses them to buy me better equipment or something. I don't have a job either because my Dad doesn't let me get one. He says I need to focus on my sports and he'll pay for everything I need. As long as I win. See, my Dad is my coach and he's very ambitious. He wants to be at the top and because he couldn't become an athlete himself he uses me. I don't mind, it's not like I've got anything better to do with my time.

"FASTER!" My father shouted at me.
I immediately began to strain my arms and legs and worked on streamlining my body better. I sucked in my stomach a bit and swam faster that I was before. I did four laps before my arms gave out on me. I gasped as water filled my mouth and quickly spat it out. I started treading water and my father walked over. He had a neutral look on his face.
"Not too bad. However, your time was slower than Adrianna's by one-point-79 of a second. That's NOT GOOD ENOUGH!" he shouted.
I cringed and swam backwards a tiny bit.
"Don't swim away from me when I'm talking to you, young lady!" he growled.
I flinched and mumbled an apology.
"Now get swimming! Don't stop until I tell you to!" he ordered.
I nodded and started swimming again.

My muscles felt like they were on fire and I thought I was going to drown. I was swimming as hard as I could and as fast as I could but I didn't have enough oxygen in my system and I had a build up of lactic acid in my body so it was hurting a lot.
"You may stop now," my father said happily as I touched the wall one last time.
I gratefully let my legs sink and I waited for my father.
"You did well. You beat Adrianna's time. You are welcome to have free time now to relax before dinner," my father said.
"Thank you," I murmured.
He gave me one of his rare smiles and patted me gently on my head.
"No problem kiddo," he laughed and then stood up and left.
That was another reason why I did this. When my father was pleased with my work he was actually like a real father. All joke-y and happy. I smiled contentedly and floated on my back for a bit, just relaxing while trying not to drown. I just let the water lap gently at my sides and cool my body down.

When I finally climbed out of the pool my legs immediately gave out on me. I fell to the floor and landed on my hands, skinning them slightly. I groaned and forced myself to get up I stumbled over to my towel and fell onto the chair it was resting on. I looked around my estate and smiled slightly. It was pretty. I preferred my estate to my Dad's estate. Yes, we both have our own estates. Mine was grassier and was less modern than Dad's. Mine was bigger as well, but they were both pretty big regardless. I watched the sun set and then I whistled for Thor a 4 foot tall Great Dane of mine. He came bounding up to me and jumped up on my shoulders. I staggered to my knees under his weight and growled at Thor. He obediently backed off and I stood up.
"Good boy," I praised.
He barked once and stuck his head in my hands. I laughed quietly and patted his head gently. I grabbed my towel and gently sat on Thor's back. I weighed a little bit over 30 kilos(70 pounds), so I didn't worry about hurting him. I tucked my legs up and Thor trotted off towards home. Yes, Thor was big enough for me to ride. He went up to my waist when I was standing.
"Thor, run!" I whispered in his ear and I picked up a stick from the ground and threw it.
He barked happily and started to lope towards it. I giggled when I felt like I was going to fall due to his big bounding leap-steps. He barked and stopped suddenly when he caught up to the stick. I went flying over his head and landed on my back. It didn't hurt, there wasn't exactly too far to fall, so I ended up laughing. Thor barked at me with the stick in his mouth. I grabbed it from his mouth and threw it again. He shot off towards it, faster than when I had been on him and he quickly pounced on the stick and tore it to bits before trotting back to me. I chuckled at him and whistled to him. He bounded over and I growled at him to stop when he came too close and he obediently stopped.
"Good boy!" I cooed.
He panted and wagged his tail.
"C'mon boy, time to go inside," I said softly and started to walk inside with Thor on my heels.

I have no idea where I'm going with this.
Hope it's okay.
