Fate Had Nothing to Do With It

Would it sound more pleasant if I told you this was a tale of two people, brought together by a series of random events that happened to make them fall in love?

Would it sound more daring if I told you that their being in love was technically forbidden, and that by doing so they would have to keep their relationship a secret, else they would bring trouble to everyone around them?

Would it sound more relatable if I told you that Fate brought them together at a Dallas High School, a high school like many others?

... But what if I told you that Fate had absolutely nothing to do with it? What would you think then?
