Happy.

1/1

Little girl, 5, sits on the creaky old swing at the back of the playground, scowling.

She is thinking. Nobody wants to play with her.

She is thinking because nobody wants to play with her.

Nobody wants to play with her because she is thinking.

She watches the other children. The happy children.

Then she notices:

Nobody really cares if you’re miserable, so you might as well be happy.

She takes a deep breath and stands up. Smiles.

Little Boy, 6, comes over:

‘Do you want to swing with me?’ He holds out his hand.

Little girl, 5, is happy.
