There Is No Formula for Love

Smirk

Gerard’s POV

I literally thought about “Frank” all weekend. Unfortunately, the dreams came back. Well, I don’t know if it’s that unfortunate anymore. The worst thing about them is having to change clothes without anyone seeing. Sunday morning was quite an adrenaline rush.

“Gerard…” Mikey called from my bedroom door Sunday night. “Are you ok?”

“What? Yeah… Why?” I answered, jerking up from my biology textbook.

Mikey came in and sat down on my bed in front of me. He studied my face and book. “You’ve just had this smirk on your face all weekend.”

“Have I?” I tried to play dumb.

“Yeah, and… what’s that?”

Mikey reached across my legs and picked up my physics notebook. Next to Mr. Iero’s room number I put a little heart. Mikey pointed to it and looked at me quizzically.

“Random heart?” I smiled in attempt to play it off.

“Gee, I have never known you to draw hearts on anything except for bleeding ones on some of your paintings.”

“All right, Mikey.” I sighed. “Don’t say anything to anyone, ok?”

“Ok…”

“I have a really huge crush on my physics teacher.”

“The one you’re always talking to after school?”

“Yes.”

“Gerard, that’s so weird!”

“I know, but I can’t help it. He’s so cool and really, really handsome.”

“Well, be careful, Gee…”

“I will. Please don’t tell anyone, Mikey.”

“I promise I won’t. I’m just glad I know why you’re so happy all of a sudden.”

“Nothing wrong with being happy.”

I beamed at my little brother and ruffled his hair. I told him to get out so I can finish my homework. I can’t wait to get back to school in the morning.
