This Heart Still Feels

This Heart Still Feels-50

The three of you ran outside where all the others were waiting and ready to go. You all got in and waved to the other people as the driver drove off. Soon you made it to the reception and got out, where half of the guests were already taking their seats. You all made your entrances and took your own seats at the front table. The food and drinks were served and everyone ate until James made his announcement,

"Listen up, everybody," he shouted as he tapped his fork against his champagne glass, "It's speech time. Best man has to talk now." Everyone went silent. "Now I'm not gonna sit up here and say a ten day long speech, so I'm just going to say a few things. Oliver and Teresa, congratulations on starting a new life together. I can tell just by looking at you two you're gonna be happy for a very long time. Teresa, Oliver may try to seem all tough and macho, and I'll admitt, sometimes he is, but he is very sensitive and very easily he can get hurt, so watch out for that."

James looked over at his twin brother, "Oliver, Teresa is smart, beautiful, and caring, three qualities that are missing in a lot of girls these days. Watch out for her, because guys are going to want to get their hands on her, and some will try anything to get her. But just know that she has eyes only for you, and nothing can change that. You guys are good for eachother. Cherish each moment you have and never waste time on the past."

Everyone applauded once James finished, "And now, I believe our lovely maid of honor has a few words to share with us as well. Deana, would you please come down?"

You stood up from your chair and walked behind everyone else. James took his seat and you took his spot, "Okay," you began, "I would just like to say a few things to Oliver and Teresa. Tree, I felt like I've known you forever, even though it's only been since highschool. You have always been my shoulder to cry on and vice versa. I love you so much, not only as a frien, but as the sister I could never have. I'm glad to see that you have found someone for you, and someone I can trust wil take good care of you. It always kills me to see a jackass break your heart, so to know you married one of the few decent men in this world is a relief to me," you laughed nervously. You looked up and saw that tears were coming from Teresa's eyes, "Anyway, I'm glad to see you happy. As long as you keep strong, this marriage will last,"

"And Oliver," your eyes shifted to him, "Despite my little threat to you earlier, I trust you won't hurt her. I watch the way you are with her, how you protect her, guide her, and love her. There would have to be something seriously wrong with if this ever changes. I warn you though, she tends to be extremely weird sometimes"

"I am not," Teresa shot back, then sqeaked "Equus!" and made her eyes go cross eyed and smiled psychotically before sitting back down.

you took in a deep breath, "Anyway, I know that you will help her when she needs to be guided, and she will do the same for you. Look out for eachother, and know when there is something wrong with the other, and you guys will have a wonderful life together. And whatever problems you may go through, I will be right behind you all of the way,"

You smiled and headed back to your seat, allowing the guests to give you a round of applauseYou took your seat next to Dan and he whispered, "That was beautiful,"

You smiled bashfully, "Thanks,"

"Thank you, James and Deana," Teresa's dad stood up, "and now I believe it is time for the newlyweds to have their first dance together." he turned to you as Oliver and Teresa made their way to the dance floor, "May I please ask Miss Deana to please step over to the band?"

Terea stared at you with disbelief as you got up once again, this time walking to the microphone by the band. You grabbed the mic off its stand and held it to your mouth. "Congratulations on your new life, Tree. This one's for you both," You smiled watching Oliver take Teresa into his arms as the music began.

Every time our eyes meet
This feeling inside me
Is almost more than I can take
Baby when you touch me
I can feel how much you love me
And it just blows me away
I've never been this close to anyone or anything
I can hear your thought
I can see your dreams

I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I wanna spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby I'm amazed by you

The smell of your skin
The taste of your kiss
The way you whisper in the dark
Your hair all around me
Baby you surround me
You touch every place in my heart
Oh it feels like the first time every time
I wanna spend the whole night in your eyes

I don't know how you do what you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I wanna spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Baby I'm amazed by you

Every little thing that you do
I'm so in love with you
It just keeps getting better
I wanna spend the rest of my life
With you by my side
Forever and ever
Every little thing that you do
Oh, every little thing that you do
Baby I'm amazed by you

The song came to a slow end. By this time some people had taken a partner up and joined the wedded couple out for a slow dance. Everyone stopped once the music had faded and gave you a round of applause. You smiled and gave one last congratulations to Oliver and Teresa before you got off. The band began playing another song once you took your seat,

"That was amazing," Dan complimented,

"Thank you," you blushed, "and might I say you look absolutely stunning this evening,"

"Not as stunning as you do,"

You felt your cheeks getting warmer and warmer.

"And guess what?"

"What?"

"You are going to dance with me right now,"

"Oh no, Dan," you tugged as Dan took your arm, "I don't dance,"

"You're telling me you're about to perform in a musical and don't dance?"

"That's a different kind of dancing," you said, "That's coreographed,"

"Come on," he got down on his knees and stuck out his bottom lip, "Please,"

You smiled at his pout. You couldn't resist, "Alright," you gave in,

He smiled like a little boy who had just gotten his way. He stood up and took both of your hands onto his own, pulling you up as well. Leading you down to the dance floor, he wrapped his arm around your waist and held you close. By this time everyone was off their feet and dancing around. Teresa and Oliver looked like the flower girl and ring bearer, wheo were jumping around to the music as well. Later, it was time for the bride to throw the bouquet. All the ladies gathered around as Teresa was helped up to the chair which she was to stand on. Teresa finally raised her arms and threw the bouquet out. The flowers fell right in the middle of the women, and landed in your hands. You blushed as everyone clapped and whistled for you. Finally people started to leave at around midnight, and by one-thirty, only a few of the guests were left. You yawned and decided that you wanted to go home also. Dan quickly offered you a ride home, and you accepted,

"Good-bye, Oliver," you said hugging him. You turned to Teresa and wrapped your arms around her, "Have fun on your honeymoon, Mrs. Phelps,"

"Mrs. Phelps," she repeated, "It's kind of catchy, isn't it?"

"It's perfect," you told her, "You guys have fun, but don't do anything I wouldn't do,"

"Which is what?" Oliver joked,

"Very funny," you sneered, "Now you're sure you'll be back in time for the show,"

"If we aren't, we'll come home early," Teresa promised,

"Alright, then," you gave them one last hug, "Have fun you two," Tree gave you one last look and turned to go to the limo. You stood there and watched as she disappeared off to her new life.

"Hey, Deana," you turned to meet Dan, "Are you alright?"

"Yeah," you answered, "I'm just really tired,"

"So," he smiled, holding up the bouquet, "I guess this means you're the next one to get married,"

"Yeah," you smiled, feeling your cheecks get warm again, "Now all I need is a groom,"

"You have anybody inparticular in mind?" he asked casually. You could tell he was refering to himself.

"I don't know," you grabbed his hand, "It's too soon to be thinking of marriage right now,"

"Very true," Dan smiled, "Are you ready to go?"

You nodded,

"Here," he said taking off his jacket and handing it to you, "It's a little nippy out there,"

You took hold of it and smiled at Dan as you put it on over your dress, "Thanks,"

"Are you ready?"

You turned back to where you had last seen Teresa before she went off to her honeymoon. a small smile crept across your face. "Yeah, I'm ready,"
