I ran up the driveway after my best friend, Jade. We were coming back to her house for a sleepover after our youth groups christmas party.

I ran up behind Jade and jumped on her back. Payback for when she tackled me earlier that night.

You see I'm back on break from college. It's my frist year away. Jade's still in high school but that hasn't stopped our wacky and crazy friendship.

Jade and I started to bang on her door so that her sleeping parents could hear us. It was midnight and cold! We wanted in!

I just laughed my head off while Jade called her house phone.

Finally her mom came and let us in.

We ran to Jade's room to change into pajamas, grab movies, Jade's laptop, and a notebook of mine before heading to camp out in her t.v. room area place.

When you're not down

It was the room with the NICE t.v., surround sound, and comfy couches.

Jade popped in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, put some pizzas in the microwave, grabbed 2 Dr. Peppers, and turned off the lights.
"Movie theatre much?"

We settled in to watch the move while I updated a story on my website, because Jade was going to sit on me if i didn't.

We were chowing down on pizza and Dr. Pepper halfway through the movie when my cell phone vibrated next to me causing me to jump a foot in the air and almost drop Jade's laptop.

Within a second Jade was leaning over me yelling at me to read it.

I opened my phone and then shut it resisting the urge to answer his text. And yes it was from him but anyway.

Jade looked away and I texted him back quickly. Then stood up to throw my plate away.
