I heard and felt something pushing on my chest. I spit water out as I opened my eyes and everything was blurry.

“Oh thank gosh. Your alive!” I heard someone say.

“next time I wont wear pads until I get to the skate park.” I said as I sat up rubbing my head.

“JESSICA!” I heard someone yell my name. I looked towards the voice and saw my parents running towards me.

“oh thank gosh your ok! What happened?!” my mother asked as she kneeled down onto the pavement.

“I was talking to justin and wasn’t watching where I was going and yeah that should speed you up abit” I half laughed.

“Who’s justin?” my dad asked.

“I’m Justin sir.” Justin said standing up and holding a hand out to my dad to shake. Instead my dad pulled him in for a tight hug.

“Thank you so much for saving our daughter!” he said.

“it’s no problem sir. i saw she was having trouble coming up and I dove in after her.” Justin replied after being let go.

“jess are you sure your ok?” my mom asked

“yeah I’m alright” I said standing up getting a bit dizzy and almost falling but was caught by justin.

“Thanks.” I said looking at him. Wow he has amazing brown eyes.

“I think we should pass on the skate park and take you to your hotel room.”He said helping me stand up.

“Actually why don’t you too go and grab some breakfast and we’ll call you when you need to come back ok Jessica?” my dad asked handing me his debt card.

“Does that sound okay?” I asked justin

“That’s fine with me.” He said.

We were about to walk to the restaurant when I realized something.

“Uh Justin” I said

“What’s up?” He asked

“We can’t go to a restaurant soaking wet.” I stated

“Woops. Maybe we should get that fixed” he said embarrassed

“Yeah. Let’s meet back in the hall in ten minutes since we are on the same level.” I said

“Alright deal, see you in ten minutes” He said before racing up the stairs

I looked down and saw his skateboard. I wonder how long it’ll take him to realize he left it by the pool. I looked back up and saw him walking towards me.

“This never happened.” He said picking up his skateboard and walking besides me.

“I thought the skateboard was the most important thing in your life? Did you divorce it for your laptop?” I chuckled

“Like I said. This never happened” He said

We finally got to our floor and noticed our rooms were right across from each other.

“Awkward” We both said at the same time.

“Alright I’ll see you in ten minutes” I said as I walked to unlock my door

“First one out has to by the other sour patch kids” He challenged

“You pulled the candy card! Fine I hope you enjoy spending ten bucks” I said turning to glare at him

“Deal” he said then walked into his room

I unlocked my door and walked in.

“Who was that? And why are you dripping wet?” a voice asked behind me
