“Okay Archzie, we have the single one of you, who’s next?” I yelled as I took Archzie’s last photo, the best one. Jyrki walked over to the black background where all the lights were positioned to face the person in the spotlight, I smiled at him before looking back to my camera and started setting up a new film and getting to a blank photo page on the laptop next to me, I started taking photos of him posing, while doing this, Jussi came over and started talking to me
“Hey Jane” his thick accented voice met my ears and I turned and smiled warmly at him, and he smiled back
“Hey, your next” I said smiling pointing to Jyrki who was still in the spotlight, I continued to take photos of him until I found the right one “Ha! Done!’ I said looking at the picture of Jyrki, “Hey Jess, wanna come be the judge of this?” I smiled at her knowing she had a thing for the singer, Jess came over and looked at the photo on my laptop as Jussi walked over to the backdrop, Jess smiled and nodded seeing the picture of the Finnish singer
“It looks hot” she said quietly making sure that only I had heard we both heard a chuckle from behind her and we looked in that direction to see Jyrki
“Glad you think so” he whispered thinking only she had heard it, but I heard it too, he walked away leaving Jess looking a nice shade of red.
“Awe” I cooed and smiled as her as she gave me the finger and walked back to her seat, I looked through my camera again to get ready to take the next pictures, I saw the man behind the lens smile I quickly took a few shots, smiling every time he tried to pose differently, “I have it!” I yelled smiling at the picture, Jussi walked over to the laptop looking at the picture I had taken
“Looks good” he smiled
“Good? Whatever it looks great!” I said happily, truly proud of my work, I felt Jussi look at me so I turned to face him
“Would you like to go out with me? On a date, I mean?” he asked shyly, I was taken back by his question, my mouth gaped open and Jussi stood there thinking that my hesitation was a negative,
“Yeah, I’d really like that” I said and he seemed to let out a breath he had been holding, I had only been on one other date, and that was my first boyfriend, we went to the movies and had dinner, but he cheated on my two days later. Asshole.
Jussi smiled brightly at me, “Is tonight okay?” he asked unsure I smiled again and nodded he smiled brightly at me “Can I pick you up from here? At 7:00?” he asked I nodded again, “Cool” he said and everything became awkward, I laughed it off, and motioned him to walk with me to Jessica and the others. I grabbed Jessica’s hand and pulled her into a private room, I turned and looked at Jussi before leaving the room, he was looking at Jess and I leaving he smiled shyly and I smiled back,
“Where are we going?” my sister asked obviously getting annoyed and confused, I shushed her as I closed the door to the room “What’s happened?” she asked seeing the smile on my face.
“Jussi just asked me out on a date, tonight” I smiled again and she smiled to but then she frowned
“Don’t do anything you’ll regret, don’t drink to much” she said quietly and I looked down “What’s wrong?” she asked confused
“I want to ah... Be with him, properly, like not who I normally am, no one’s ever ‘taken it slow’ with me before” I said still looking at my feet, I felt her arms wrap around me in a comforting hug, I wrapped my own arms around her and buried my head into her neck, I was a lot shorter than my sister, “He’s sweet, kind, funny, and gorgeous, I don’t want to mess it up” I mumbled
“Good, I’m proud of you” she said and I smiled we walked out of the room, and back into where everyone was, I smiled when I saw them all, standing around and talking, but as soon as they noticed we were in the whole room went silent, they were obviously talking about us, I looked at Jess, and she looked at me, we both shrugged it off.
“Dude, dad just texted me, he’s got some free time, and wants us to do a song in studio 5” I said looking down at my phone, she nodded, we looked back at the guys knowing we had to take them too, we couldn’t just leave them here, so they came with us.
