Understanding how something worked was always fascinating. Learning how wood gasifiers functioned, finding out that certain cars have certain parts making them up... sure, it could be confusing at first, but there was a set pattern, like algebra. You can always solve a problem, even if it comes out to an awkward answer, or it comes out to be unsolvable. You still found the answer.

What Olive wondered though, was how you found the cure to being in what you thought was love.
