Nick and Miley were still mad at everyone for thinking Nick would give Miley a picture like that that they did not speak to them for the rest of the month. It was New Year's eve and they were in New York a half hour before Miley's first big gig as herself when everyone came into the room. Miley and Nick broke apart and Miley jumped onto her hotel bed while Nick threw himself to the other end of the couch.

"Oh it is just our mistrusting family and friends." Nick says and Miley looks up from the pillow she had her head buried into.

"So it is." Miley says sitting up.

"OK guys it is high time you forgave us." Robbie Ray says looking at them both.

"It is high time you trust us."

"We are letting you guys share a room and we just saw you making out." Denise says also looking at them. "Which by the way we don't ever want to hear again."

"True!" Miley says nodding her head. "but you guys have not even said your sorry."

"For being protective?" Paul asks but Miley just looks at Nick and rolls her eyes making him laugh. "Anyway we saw the scrapbook and we have a right to be."

"because we are being a couple? and taking pictures of us kissing?" Nick asks and Miley whips her head around looking at him. "There were only eight and the rest were of us just goofing off, odd moments, or just being a couple. What is wrong with that?"

"Nothing but your...."

"16 years old." Nick says finishing the sentence for his father Paul. "Two very mature 16 year olds."

"Who have been dating for over a year." Miley adds getting up and standing beside Nick.

"Fine we are sorry."Denise says before looking at her husband.

"I am sorry too." Paul adds before everyone looks at Robbie Ray.

"Your my little girl and I can't stand to see you angry at me so I am sorry."

"Your forgiven!" Miley says before jumping into Robbie Ray's hands and giving him a bug hug. "Now if you excuse me I have to songs to go sing on the rooftop."

"You may want to fix your make-up." Lilly says holding a mirror up to Miley's face.

"One sec." She goes into the bathroom and quickly fixes her make-up before returning. "OK I am ready to get this party started."

Everyone laughs at her but leave the room anyway. Once Miley was on the rooftop she only had to wait ten minutes before she could start singing. As soon as they band started up Miley waited a few beats before singing.

"Good job Miley. Why to go for your first major performance as yourself." the host said once Miley had walked down to where she was.

"Thanks Carrie." Miley says smiling at Carrie Underwood who was hosting this year's new year's eve.

Jackson just rolls his eyes as they walk back to everyone else. They were in a little tent set up for the famous people there. Of course everyone was star struck but tried their best to hide it. When the ball dropped Nick and Miley had found a place to kiss without no one seeing. Their hotel room.
