Lost In A Moment.

Stay.

An hour later, everyone was pretty pissed and stumbling around the place. Everyone except Hannah, which she found slightly annoying seeing as she was the one who wanted to get drunk and drink away all her feelings, and thoughts; especially the ones surrounding Matt. She hated him as well as missed him. Matt had been her first love, the first guy she had said the three words to and the one she had lost her virginity to. They had been together for a year and a half the day Hannah had found Matt kissing Savannah.

He, of course, had blamed everything on being drunk and that he thought Savannah was her. Hannah couldn't help but feel her heart being stapped all over again when she remembered their arguement in the middle of the living room - for everyone to see. She couldn't understand how he could mix the two of them - they were complete opposites. Savannah was the blonde, blue-eyed girl, while Hannah had dark brown hair and blue eyes. Hannah had hips and breasts, while Savannah looked like a match if you were to compare the two.

Emily had disappeared somewhere, and so had Jack which made Hannah think they'd disappeared somewhere together, probably making out. This made Hannah extremely happy, but slightly jealous as well. She loved her best friend and the fact that she had found someone who made her happy, made Hannah happy but still... She couldn't help but wonder when she would find someone who wouldn't break her heart numerous times.

Hannah sighed and stood up from the bench, slowly moving towards the Gazebo. It was a cold evening and she was slowly starting to regret not taking her jacket with her. She leaned against the Gazebo post, her blue eyes locked with the bonfire and she was amazed with how the fire moved everywhere, but never lit anything on fire.

'Are you alright?'

She turned her head around and saw a skinny, taller than her, brunette stand in front of her. He had deep brown eyes and a playful grin on his face as he pushed his hands into the pockets on his light-blue jeans. 'Yeah, I- I'm fine,' she mumbled and frowned a she was starting to get really annoyed with how everyone asked her if she was alright or not. She turned back around and took a sip from her cup, while continuing to stare at the bonfire and people surrounding it.

'Ok,' he answered casually and started to move.

Hannah turned around completely and rested her back against the post, while her left hand swirled the cup around in her hand ever so carefully, so the content wouldn't fall out. Her blue eyes stared at the boy in front of her and she had to admit, he was quite the looker. 'Are you new, or something? I- I haven't seen you around before.'

He grinned. 'I guess you could say that,' he answered and laughed as he jumped ontop of the fence, his feet dangling in the thin air. 'Alright then,' she said and frowned as this was starting to get too weird, and there was a feeling deep in her stomach telling her to get away before she would be wrapped up in something she didn't want to be. She slowly moved towards the stairs of the Gazebo when the guy jumped down from the fence and hastily moved over to where she was.

Standing in front of her, he made it impossible to escape. 'Wait,' he spoke and looked at her, throwing his head back slightly so that his thick fringe moved out of his eyes.

'What?' she spoke and looked into his brown eyes, feeling her heart skip a beat as she could've sworned she had seen them sparkle. She swallowed and looked at his outstretched arms, blocking the way completely. Hannah took a step forward, but the unknown guy didn't move. Not an inch.

'Stay!' he suggested and smiled friendly.

Hannah couldn't help it and laughed. 'What? Why? I don't even know you,' she said and shook her head as she put her right hand on his forearm, trying to push it down but he pushed back. 'Stay and you will,' he answered in a husky voice. Hannah looked at him and raised one of her eyebrows as she whispered, 'Do you even know how creepy that sounds?' The guy's eyes softened and he let a laugh escape his lips. He had a nice laugh; Hannah thought and felt her cheeks fluster. 'You know, when you mention it, it did sound really creepy,' he spoke and Hannah couldn't help but smile a little as she shook her head at him. Her brown hair fell down and covered her face, which she quickly pushed behind her ear as it would only end up annoying her later on.

'Come on babe, stay,' he continued and that playful smirk was still evident on his face.

'Alright, I'll stay,' Hannah said and the guy grinned broadly. 'If you tell me your name,' she said and smiled as she removed her hand from his forearm and put the red cup on the fence while she waited for some kind of response from him. He grinned and let his arms drop, holding his right one out, 'I'm Alex.'

Hannah looked at the oppertunity to get away from him, now that his arms were down, but something inside her wanted to stay now. Talk about moodswings; she thought and couldn't help but roll her eyes at her own thoughts. She grabbed his hand seconds later and shook it firmly. 'Hannah,' she replied and Alex smirked. 'Nice to meet you, Hannah,' he spoke and Hannah could swear his thumb carefully caressed hers. She blushed, 'Nice to meet you too, Alex.'
