Empath Love

“Hey Edward can I talk to you for a minute?” I asked him immediately after I knew Kat was seated in the living room comfortably with her broken ankle propped up and Carlisle was talking to her about what she told me in the car.

“Yea sure jazz what’s— ” he stopped midsentence as he read my thoughts

“Oh” he said after a second but then he started laughing, he knew this would happen.
“Shut up!! Now what am I supposed to do? I can’t stop thinking about her she’s always excited or happy about something and I’m just drawn to her emotions and the way her blood smells and when she touched me in the car, I just I don’t know it felt weird” I said to him

“Jasper calm down, your in love give in to it it’s a nice feeling” he said as if it was the easiest thing in the world.

“It is easy you’re just so uptight” he said

“So are you” I told him walking away from him and going back over to Kat who was going through the TV channels, I sat down next to her and she looked over at me.

“So Carlisle said I won’t have to have this cast on much longer just maybe a week or two since its already been on for a month” she said happily and smiled, I couldn’t help but smile back at her.

“That’s good that way I won’t have to carry you everywhere” I said jokingly to her and she gasped

“What are you trying to imply sir, that I’m heavy?” she said

“Yes” I said simply and chuckled, she shoved my leg “You suck” she said and stuck out her tongue like a 5 year old which made me laugh harder.

“It’s nice to hear you laugh” she said smiling and suddenly moved to where she was straddling my legs making sure not to hit her cast on anything and she hugged me. I haven’t hugged someone in a very long time so of course I froze but she didn’t care obviously because her arms were still around me and I had a feeling that she wasn’t letting go until I hugged back so I did.

I liked the feeling it was nice and she was soft and she smelt good…no jasper control your thirst! She pulled back from the hug and I was reluctant to let go of her but I did, I looked into her hazel eyes as she stared at me and I don’t know how it got to it but we kissed, I pulled her closer to me and her hands found their way to my hair. My tongue found its way into her mouth as hers did the same with me but before anything else happened…

“Ahem” someone pretended to clear their throat and Kat pulled away from me startled and looked over to who it was, of course it was Emmett and he was smirking. Kat hid her face as she blushed embarrassed that we were caught but I was smiling like an idiot.

“I was just coming to tell Kat that mom said to come and eat, but I see you’re busy so I’ll just tell her that you’ll be there in a few minutes” he said with that smirk still on his face “You may continue!!” he said and walked away.

I looked over to her and she just laughed and I couldn’t help but laugh with her, yea things were going to change between us but I knew we would be okay.
