Don't Cry

Tears rolled down his cheeks, falling onto the motionless body below. His hands were cupping the face of his twin, thumbs stroking the skin that was once full of colour.

"Why?" He asked, his voice thick, the word coming out as nothing more than a strangled sob. "Why'd you leave me, Fred?"

He sniffed and pulled a hand away from Fred's face to wipe his tears away. Fred wouldn't have wanted him to cry, wouldn't have wanted anyone to cry, but that didn't stop fresh tears from filling George's eyes.

His twin had left him, how could he not cry?
