Lima Loser - Part Two.

THREE;

The dance began for us Glee members after we had performed all three songs from our setlist. We all went backstage to change into some normal clothes.

"That was great, guys!" Mr. Schuester ran backstage with pure joy on his face. I loved making that guy proud. He was so deserving of happiness, and I was glad that we could be some of the cause of it.

We all exchanged hugs and then headed out to the dance floor to continue having fun, except this time with everyone else.

I noticed Rachel, Artie and Kurt dancing to the random techno that was playing. I'd begun to make my way towards them, when I was stopped by none other than...Blaze.

"Hey!" I greeted him with a small hug. "Glad you made it. What'd you think?"

"I expected worse," he laughed. "I mean, it is, after all, Glee club. But honestly, it was pretty cool."

"So, does that mean you'll still audition tomorrow?"

"You'll have to wait and find out," he grinned.

"Awesome. Can't wait."

He was about to say something else, but then Puck caught me by surprise by putting his arms around me from behind.

"Hey, babe."

I turned around and kissed him on the lips. "You did great tonight," I whispered.

"That would be you," he grinned. "And you were totally workin' that outfit."

I blushed, and then remembered that Blaze was still standing behind us. I whipped back around. "Have you guys met yet?" I looked at both of them.

"I'm her boyfriend," Puck snapped. "The name's Puck."

"Really? I didn't notice you guys were dating," Blaze said, sarcastically. "And cool name. I'm-"

"I know who you are," Puck cut him off, and I immediately knew that if I didn't get them away from each other pronto, a fight would start.

"Oh yeah?" Blaze smirked. "Who am I?"

"You're the new kid. Blaze, right?"

"You got it, bud. Anyway, my ride is soon coming, so I'd better get going. Seeya in Glee tomorrow, Courtney." Blaze walked away without another word.

I turned around and watched Puck glare at Blaze as he walked away. "You're kidding me, right? He's auditioning for Glee club now?"

"What's your problem?" I narrowed my eyebrows.

"I just really don't like the look of him. Kid seems too cocky for his own good."

"Oh, you mean like you?" I rolled my eyes.

"That's completely different. I'm hot as hell. He, on the other hand, looks like he'd just escaped from a mental hospital. There's no reason for him to be cocky." Puck complained.

"I think someone's a little jealous..." I poked his nose with my index finger.

"Am not!" he said, defensively. I raised my eyebrows until he gave in. "Okay, fine. I don't feel comfortable with him transferring and becoming friends with my woman, just like that."

"You're being silly," I chuckled as I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him. "And you have no worries about me dumping you. I love you."

He smiled that adorable crooked smile of his and I nearly melted. "I love you, too."

Just as he spoke those words, the song changed. And it wasn't just any song, but one of my favorites.

"Care to dance?" Puck held out his hand. I grabbed it and he hauled me out to the dance floor, where everyone was slow-dancing. A couple that really caught my eye was Rachel and Finn, She looked so in love with him.

"My girlfriend's got a boyfriend, funny. He doesn't make a dime all day." Puck began to sing along. I was surprised he knew the song.

"Pool cleaning business!" I chimed in. He laughed and pulled me forward, putting his arms around my waist.

"And all her girlfriend's boyfriends make money. What more can I say? It's true. He never made it through a day of school. The only thing he studied was you. He knows your body better than you do..." He looked me straight in the eyes as he sang this, and all I could do was stare lovingly back into his.

"Maybe I'm your Mr. Right! Baby! Maybe I'm the wrong you like! Maybe I'm a shot in the dark, and you're the morning light. Whoa-oh! Maybe this is sad, but true. Baby! Maybe you've got nothing to lose. You could be the best of me, when I'm the worst for you."

"My girlfriend's got a boyfriend, running, to catch the bus to meet...to meet up with the boyfriend's girlfriend, who's stunning. She's such a sight to see. It's true. The moment he laid eyes on you, he knew, the only wish he wanted came true. He knows he's lucky that he met someone like you."

"You can always change your mind...and you, can't change mine. No, you can't change mine!"

"Maybe I'm your Mr. Right! Baby! Maybe I'm the wrong you like! Maybe I'm a shot in the dark, and you're the morning light. Whoa-oh! Maybe this is sad, but true. Baby! Maybe you've got nothing to lose. You could be the best of me, when I'm the worst for you. I'm the worst for you."

The song ended, but do you think that stopped me from clinging on to Puck like an attached child who doesn't want to leave their mother? We just stood there, swaying back and forth to a new, more upbeat song. We probably looked extremely crazy. Oh well.

We eventually went to find the rest of the Glee club, who were chillin' our in various places around the room. We met up with Artie, Mercedes and Quinn, who were all standing around the refreshments table.

"Hey, guys. Great show, no?" Artie looked up at us as he downed a glass of fruit punch.

"Excellent," I nodded, enthusiastically. "You were all fantastic."

"Thanks, girl. You too!" Mercedes high-fived me. "We gotta do stuff like this more often."

"I agree," Puck nodded. "This is the happiest I've been since I snuck into a strip joint with Matt."

We all just looked at him. "Long story," he shrugged.

Mr. Schue came by, looking overjoyed. "Hey! Tonight's been awesome. I can't get over how good you guys did."

"We wouldn't have done near as well if you weren't our teacher, Mr. Schue," Quinn informed him, making a valid point.

"Aww, you guys..." Mr. Schue held out his arms and we all joined him in a group hug. When we let go, he began to talk again. "Well, I hate to end this moment in Glee club history, but the party's almost over. I think you guys should probably head home soon. Plus, it's a school night."

I looked around the room for a clock, and when I couldn't find one, I just checked my phone. It read 12:36...AM. Holy shit. I had to get home pronto.

I tugged on Puck's shirt a little. He looked at me and whispered "Ready to go home?"

I nodded, letting out a small yawn.

"Alright, Mr. Schuester. I'm taking Courtney home now." Puck told Mr. Schue.

"Okay. See you guys tomorrow."

I waved and smiled a tired but sincere smile.

Puck held my hand as we walked out to his mother's truck. We both climbed in. He put the key in the ignition, and looked over at me.

"So, how'd you like the dance?" he asked.

"It was perfect," I gushed.

He seemed satisfied with the answer, and turned up the radio.

"Girl, you're looking fine tonight. And every guy has got you in his sights. What you're doing with a clown like me, is surely one of life's little mysteries," Puck began to sing along, making me smile from ear to ear. Could this night get any better?

"So, tonight I'll ask the stars above. 'How did I ever win your love?' What did I do?
What did I say, to turn your angel eyes my way?"

His voice was like a lullaby, and I'll admit, I fell asleep to the sound of it. Part of it was just me being tired, but a lot of it was due to him.

"We're here," a distant voice told me. I felt someone nudging me, but I pushed them away. I was so tired.

"Come on, Courtney. You have to get up. It's 10 after 1," Puck attempted to lift me up, but that didn't really work.

"Mrmmm," I mumbled. "I...just wanna slmmph."

"That's why you have to get up, so you can move to your nice and comfy bed. I have to get home, too, before my mom castrates me. I'm already circumsized, and that wasn't fun, so just get up, please?"

But I wouldn't budge. Instead, I lifted my arm and pulled him towards me, using him as a teddy bear.

After a few moments, he spoke up. "Alright, then. Let's sleep in my truck."
