“Isn’t that a, like, boy’s name?” Eli asked, smirking.

“Do I look like a boy?” I said, placing my hands on my hips. Eli flushed, refusing to make eye contact with me.

“Well, I’ll see you around,” Eli said, scratching his neck.

“See you,” Ashton said.

“And… thanks for the shoe,” Eli added, glancing at his foot. He winked in my direction and then turned back around and jogged towards his friends. Ashton smiled.

“What a douche,” I said, once we were walking again.

“He was just joking around,” Ashton said, rolling his eyes.

“Yeah, yeah, that’s what she said.”
