Day By Day, Life Goes On

Day Twelve: Triangles

Everything reminds me of him now.

From the lights at the corner.

To the triangle above my bed.

That stupid stain on the ceiling.

Triangles.

I would never have expected this.

They reminded me of that stupid necklace he wore every day.

The one with the triangle pendant.

The one that he never took off.

He even wore it when we made love.

I hated the thing.

But now it was all I could think about.

Besides triangles.

I even bought a matching necklace.

Now I didn’t take it off.

And I wore it even when I was naked.

Triangles.
