Day By Day, Life Goes On
Day Sixteen: Memories
I cherish all my memories of Frankie.
I didn’t want to lose them.
That could be worse than losing him.
There is one I love more than the others.
The day I asked Frankie to marry me.
A Saturday.
We didn’t have to be anywhere.
Just laying there in each other’s arms.
I had thought about how I was going to do this for the last week.
Nothing went according to plan.
I just asked him.
When he said yes I was so happy.
“Good because now I can give you this.”
Then I gave him that simple silver ring.
I didn’t want to lose them.
That could be worse than losing him.
There is one I love more than the others.
The day I asked Frankie to marry me.
A Saturday.
We didn’t have to be anywhere.
Just laying there in each other’s arms.
