Day By Day, Life Goes On
Day Three: That Best Friend
Frankie.
There was so much about him.
I can see the day I met him.
Like it was yesterday.
Maybe he reminded me of my first crush.
He reminded me of Lolita.
It was the first day of my senior year.
Frankie was a few years below me.
In class with Mikey.
But he quickly became my best friend.
I shared everything with him.
From secrets to songs.
He could play guitar.
So beautifully.
But I couldn’t tell him that.
That would’ve ruined everything.
That one secret that had to remain mine.
That I loved him.
I still love him.
There was so much about him.
I can see the day I met him.
Like it was yesterday.
Maybe he reminded me of my first crush.
He reminded me of Lolita.
