Neighbors

That night after i got home i called my parents and Melinda about how i passed my final, they were really excited for me. The next day i was with Alex and the rest of All Time Low at the studio watching them record, my life was so good right now. After Alex was done doing some vocals Rain had to go do some drumming. Alex sat down next to me and pulled me into his lap.

"So babe..." Alex said

"Yes?" i asked encouraging him to continue

"I was thinking, tonight we have a little dinner party. Just me, you and our parents. I already mentioned the dinner to them and they are really excited about finally meeting you. so what do you say, 5:30 my place" he said and my face fell a little. I never told my parents im dating Alex, ive been so caught up with everything its slipped my mind

"Alex...i havnt-...i havnt told my parents about us yet" i said and he looked a little hurt

"Why not?" he asked

"Well i dont no, it just slipped my mind. Im so sorry, i'll call them and tell them and we can still do the party cause i love that idea" i said and he still looked mad and then his face softened

"Okay" he said

"Really, your not mad at me?" i asked

"Well i am a little upset that you didnt tell them but then again you were probably just used to being on your own you hadnt thought to tell them, am i right?" he asked, i love this man he so gets me

"Yeah, exactly" i said

"Its fine but you should probably call them and tell them" he said and i nodded and got off his lap to call my parents

I called my parents and told them about Alex and the dinner he wanted to have. They were a little mad that i didnt tell them i was dating, but then they got over it and then agreed to come. I told them all the details and then hung up. Later that night after they got to my apartment we went next door to Alex's. I knocked and a few minutes later he opened the door.

"Hey Sophie" he said hugging me

"Hi, uhm Alex this is my mom Vanessa and my dad John. Mom, dad this is Alex" i said introducing them to eachother

"Hi" they said

"Hey, so come on in" he said and let us in and two people who i assumed were his parents came over

"Alex is this her?" the woman asked

"Yep, mom this is Sophie and her parents Vanessa and John. You guys this is my mom Celia and my dad Mike" Alex said introducing us to eachother

"Hi" we all said

"So, dinners done" Alex said and we all went to the dinning room table

The dinner went well and everyone was getting along which was a good sign. Alex mentioned to his mom about how i was done with medical school since she was a doctor at a hospitol. She asked me if i was looking for a job because he office is looking for a nurse and she could get me the job, i was shocked and accepted thanking her. After dinner we all moved to the livingroom.

"So, Soph. When are you two getting married?" my mom asked and Alex choked on the water he was drinking

"Mom were-...we've only been together for a week i-...we havnt even-" i started but she cut me off

"Im just kidding hun" she said

"Oh" i said and looked at Alex who looked relieved and was wiping water off his chin with his hand

"Yeah, sorry for freaking you out Alex" she said

"Its okay" he said

"Geez do you need a bib?" i joked

"Love you to" he said

This night just got more awkward...
