Leighton "Leigh" Erdman's a seventeen-year-old burnout in little Point Place, Wisconsin. Her anti-social qualities concerned her parents, so they dropped a bomb on her: they'd be hosting an exchange student for a while. And when she met her family's new member, Fez, she immediately dubbed him an annoyance and a handful. She didn't want to bother with him, so she didn't.
But Fez wouldn't take no for an answer. He pestered her and pestered her, begging her to come with him to his friend's house. When her parents join in with Fez's constant bothering, she caves.
She had no clue as she walked with Fez that night that what she was about to do would change the course of her decade... and her life.
