Aellie Loraxie was your average citizen of the late 18th century until, quite by accident, she finds herself saved by the gang of Cornelis Murphy. Instantly infaturated with Aellie, Cor offers her to join his league of graverobbing ghouls. Aellie however, becomes drawn to the minor league rival of the House of Murphy - Arthur Blake. Once aware of her attraction, Cornelis sends Aellie along with Arthur and his lifelong friend Willie Grimes as a spy - whenever they're about to snatch a highpaying corpse, Aellie will report to the House Of Murphy. However Aellie and Arthur fall in love, prepared to quit the graverobbing business after one final undead pick-up worth over a million. Knowing that Cornelis considers her his property and the immense danger of betraying the HOM, the 'ghoul' Aellie Loraxie becomes stuck between life and death herself.
