My New Dad Hunts Ghost

Truth In Lies

Mikey’s POV

Tracy sat across from me at the dining table at her “aunt’s” house. A cup of tea sat in front of me.

“Want something to eat?” I shook my head and her eyes widened. “You’re not hungry?” She asked again.

I’m always hungry I know but right now I wanted to know what the fuck was going on.

“Explain…” I mumbled.

“Where do you want me to start?”

“Why you left me,” she frowned.

“Mikey I-“

“Don’t say you didn’t… after your dad died you went to foster care and no one told us where you were; you didn’t write us or call. Why didn’t you tell us where you were? Why didn’t you tell me?” She flinched as my fist hit the table and her “aunt” rushed in.

Tracy waved her off and she left after staring at me for a long moment. She probably thought I was gonna hit her; it took a lot out of me to restrain myself from doing just that.

“I’m sorry,” she whispered and I scoffed.

“Yeah me too,” I replied bitterly and she looked down. “Just explained what happened?” I sighed.

“After my dad died they said no one could take me in; not aunty Marie and my dad was an only child; they tossed me in foster care and I circled around the system for a bit. Got in some bad homes for a bit but finally Zak Bagans, my dad now, adopted me and everything’s been fine ever since.” I glared at the table from the name.

Who the fuck was he? Tracy didn’t need a dad, she had one.

“So you left us all for Zak?” I hissed and she flinched.

Tracy’s POV

I took the blame, knowing he wouldn’t listen if I said that it could have all been avoided if only his mom had taken me in. She listened to her sister, my mom, however who didn’t want to see me ever. I knew my mom had told Aunt Marie not to adopt me but Mikey didn’t want to hear that.

No he wanted to hear that I had left him so he could wallow in his own self-pity and I had to make it up to him which I would.

He also didn’t need to hear about my time with the other foster parents.

I licked my lips and sighed nervously.

“Zak’s a good guy,” I defended but I knew I wouldn’t win with Mikey.

“Bullshit,” he spat. “What kind of “good guy” takes you away from everyone you love? How can he do that? You’re like my sister and he won’t even let you see me?”

“I didn’t know where you were,” I took the blame again and he shook his head.

“Stop lying for him, he wouldn’t let you find us.” He stated.

I knew then that he was dead set on blaming Zak and there was nothing I could do.

“He didn’t know what he was doing,” I reasoned.

One thing about Mikey, you had to speak in lies to tell him the truth…

“He just needs to meet you and he’ll let me see you guys.” I smiled and he stared at me a moment.

“Really?” I nodded.

“Next week, I’ll introduce you two and he’ll let you visit more I know it!” I smiled wider and he seemed to buy it.

Did that confuse the hell out of you? Do you hate Mikey? Do you hate that she’s taking the blame? Are you completely pissed and confused about it all?

I told you Mikey and mines relationship is confusing… Hopefully I explained it well enough and continue to explain it well enough so you kinda follow with how they are.

Anyway comment and tell me your thoughts!
