A Little Piece of Heaven

-35-

I laid back on the bunk as I ran my hands up and down my stomach.

A smile came on to my face whenever I thought about Brian.

I'm so glad that we had finally made up last night.

Being so close, yet far away from him, was absolutely killing me.

And I never want to do it again.

"I can't wait until you guys come." I murmured, squeezing each side of my stomach.

As I pushed down on my stomach, I felt a kick and I grinned widely.

"Yeah. I know you can hear me." I said, my voice full of adoration.

I heard a chuckle and I turned to see Jimmy leaning against the door.

"How long have you been standing there?" I asked.

He smiled and came and sat on the bunk across from me.

"Long enough to know that you look like a crazy person when you talk to your stomach that way." Jimmy said.

I grinned widely.

"They like hearing my voice. They always kick when I talk and rub my stomach." I said softly.

Jimmy smiled and reached out to run his hand along my stomach.

I smiled and rested my hand on his.

"They're gonna love you Uncle Jimmy." I said.

He smiled even wider and looked at me.

"Uncle Jimmy. I like the sound of that." He said.

I grinned and we started chatting.

About ten minutes into our chat, Zacky walked in and sat on the bunk next to me, rubbing my stomach along with Jimmy.

They pushed at each others hands, trying to see which one could occupy more space on my belly.

I grinned at them.

They are so adorable at times.

And they are really gonna be the best uncles in the world.

I couldn't have picked better people to be in my children's life.

"How much longer are Matt and Brian gonna be gone?" I asked them.

Brian and Matt had an interview on a radio show to do today and have been gone for a while now.

And I really miss Brian.

I felt a sharp pain in my stomach and I flinched violently.

"Cynthia, what's wrong?" Zacky asked frantically.

"Ooh, man. Had a sharp pain in my stomach." I groaned.

A panicked look spread across both of their faces and they jumped up quickly.

I put my hands up, trying to calm them down.

"Breathe guys. The babies aren't coming yet. If one of them kick too hard, it really hurts. They're just trying to get more attention from their uncles." I laughed.

They both sighed loudly and I had them sit down.

"You can all breathe. Just relax. And go back to what we were doing before." I said calmly.

It seemed to work because they both sat down, and their hands both went over to my stomach again.

I smiled as they rubbed back and forth.

"Don't beat your mom up little ones." Zacky laughed.

I giggled too and I eased back against the pillows that Jimmy propped up for me.

I smiled appreciatively as I was handed a Capri Sun.

I sucked happily as I tapped my foot against the wall.

I felt another twinge in my stomach and I tried to keep the pained look off my face.

"What's wrong Cynthia?" Jimmy asked.

"Just another sharp pain." I said slowly, breathing deeply.

"Is it normal for you to be feeling pain like that?" Zacky asked, getting worried again.

"I'm not really sure. They could be contractions." I said.

Both of their eyes widened and their mouths dropped open.

"Umm, doesn't that mean the babies are coming?" Jimmy asked, clearly nervous.

"No. When my water breaks that means the babies are coming." I told them.

There was a moment of silence and I gasped loudly.

"What?!" Zacky and Jimmy both yelled.

"My water just broke." I cried, clutching my stomach.

And all hell broke loose.
