Learning to Let Go

She loved him. She always would. But he was gone, forever.
When he died, her heart died with him and was buried with him. She was wasting away. Her life was empty. She wanted the emptiness to go away, it was worse than the pain. But she was afraid of living again. She didn’t want her love to be taken away again.
She was in her old room throwing her most prized possessions from her childhood into a cardboard box. She was leaving, moving away. She had fallen in love with him in that town.
She had been happy. But that was a long time ago. Her reason to live in that town was gone; dead. She needed to escape the memories that the town held, so she left. She needed to be busy, so she could forget him, so she could forget everything.
