Echo: Dad, did you email Mrs. Martin about me staying after-school yet?

Jasper: Ugh...no.

Echo: Well go do it now!

Jasper: Yeah, yeah, I'm goin' boy.

Piper: Aww, Echo and his literature!

Echo: Shush your mouth. She wants to talk to me about a nation-wide project. To be honest, I can't care any less.

Piper: Then...why are you even bothering?

Echo: Because, if I win I could get one of my stories published.

Piper: Is a fourteen year-old even allowed to get published?

Echo: Well, if she forced me into it, I'm guessing so. Anyway, winning would be such a drag if it wasn't for the publishing companies.

Piper: Why's that? Isn't winning on its own good enough for you?

Echo: You know me well, sweetie. Yes, but I hate attention. The only reason I'm doing this is for the slight chance that I may get published.

Jasper: Alright, all done. Ya' happy?

Echo: Thanks.

Piper: Echo, go to school already! You'll be late if you leave any later.

Echo: But-

Jasper: Get the fuck outta here before my foot meets your ass.
