The King and Queen

“How’d your audition go?” Zack asked when I walked though the door.

I shrugged and walked up stairs to my room not saying a word.

I was sad I got there and Nick came out and said that this girl Emily had gotten there before me and they had already said yes to her.

I laid on my bed curling up in a ball on my side.

“Hey babe you alright?” Jimmy asked from my door.

I shook my head no not even turning to look at him.

I heard him sigh, shut my door and walk over to me.

He sat down on my bed.

“Tell Dr. Ninja what happened.” He spoke trying to cheer me up.

“I was so excited to be in a band but, when I got there Nick came out and said that this girl Emily had gotten there a couple minutes before me and they had already said yes.” I sobbed.

Jimmy wrapped his arms around me pulling me close to him.

“Shhh, it’s their loss for picking some chick over you.” He cooed.

I cried into his chest even harder.

“You know what Cal, if you help me we’ll right a song together and you can sing it with us.” Jimmy stated.

I sniffled and pulled away to look at him, “Really?” I asked.

“Yup and we can call some people and get to work on it.” he smiled at me.

I whipped my nose on a tissue and nodded, “I’d like that.”

“You all better now?” He asked.

I nodded.

“Good cause I was about to go ninja on Nick’s ass.” He pretended to karate chop my bed.

I giggled and kissed him then hugged him tightly.

Jimmy let go of me and we just sort of talk about our relationship, and the song.

“Hey it’s time for dinner.” Brian said from the door.

I nodded and told him we’d be down in a second.

He smiled then left my room.

Jimmy whipped the tears from my eyes and whispered, “I will personally kick anyone’s ass who makes you cry.”
