Hope Will Fall Tonight With Broken Wings
The Party
Matt decided to throw a party to celebrate Velaska walking back into his life. At the end of the week, Velaska had decided to let her bother and the guys back into her life again. Matt wanted to throw a party so everyone will know the face to the name since Matt had always talked about Velaska. Velaska thought it was a good idea and they could meet Charlottee again. Velaska was getting ready for the party as was Charlottee. “I’m so happy you got your brother back” Charlottee said
“Me too; I don’t know what I would’ve done if I lost him” Velaska said
“Let’s not think about that since you don’t have to” Charlottee said
“Works for me” Velaska said as she continued to debate with herself on an outfit to wear.
Velaska decided on a black Tripp skirt with a green plaid and lace trim, a corset vest, and a pair of high heels with studs on them. It was a nice outfit and wasn’t slutty so her brother wouldn’t yell at her. Charlottee wore a black corset with blood red ribbon, a black Tripp skirt and black high heels that wrap up the leg. Once the both of them applied make-up to compliment their outfits, they climbed into Velaska’s Jeep and drove to Matt’s house. Pulling down the road they could see where Matt lives because it was the only place with a thousand cars around it. Velaska found a parking spot and then shut off her Jeep. “What kind of party did your brother say it was gunna be?” Charlottee asked
“He said it was going to be a normal party” Velaska said
“Did he tell you how big his normal parties are?” Charlottee asked
“Nope” Velaska said
Both girls climbed out of the Jeep and headed towards the house. Music sound went to the bass they could hear from the Jeep. Once at the front door, Velaska let herself and Charlottee in. The people near by looked at them as they walked through the house. Most of the single guys just watched in a way that made the girls feel like a mix between they were angels and prime meat. Velaska continued to look for her brother and the others. She found them out back and she was spotted first. “Laska!” Jimmy screamed and then ran towards her, picked her up and spun her around. Everyone now looked at her and Charlottee. “Charlottee” Matt said with a smile and pulled her into a hug. Charlottee was a little hesitant at first but then hugged back. “I’m sorry I lost contact. I hope V explained why” Matt whispered into Charlottee’s ear
“She did” Charlottee said
“Rev, share her!” Johnny demanded
“Sucks being short, doesn’t it?” Jimmy asked tauntingly
“Jim, I love you and all but you do need to share me” Velaska said
“Fine” Jimmy said disappointedly yet set her down none the less. Johnny then pulled her into a hug and followed by Matt and Zacky. When it came to Brian, it got weird. Both Brian and Velaska acted weird towards each other. They hugged and Brian kissed Velaska on the cheek. “M, everyone is looking at us” Velaska said
“Right” Matt said then turned to everyone and said “Everyone, this is my sister Velaska and her best friend Charlottee.”
“Hi” everyone said. Some guys looked really disappointed that Velaska was Matt’s sister. They all knew it was going to be harder to get with her if they wanted to. “Way to piss a whole bunch of guys off, M” Velaska said
“What are you talking about, V?” Mat asked
“When Lottee and I walked through the house, all the single guys looked at us like we were a piece of prime meat. They are going to be pissed now because they know I’m your sister. And they know that none of them are going to be good enough, in your eyes, to date me” Velaska explained
“Hahaha that’s right” Matt laughed
“Same goes for you” Zacky said to Charlottee
“Thanks” Charlottee said with a smile
“Come on Velaska, I’ll give you a tour and get you something to drink” Brian said and before Velaska could say anything about “what about Lottee” Brian was dragging her as he power walked to the house. As they walked by a group of guys, they all looked at Brian with jealous and hatred filled eyes. This made Brian smile internally.
Brian went straight to the kitchen to get Velaska a drink before he started the tour. Once of the both of them had a drink in hand, Brian started the tour. There was no reason to show the living room as that’s the room that Velaska was in when she met up with her brother. However, there was a master living room as the one Velaska knows is more like a den. The tour took longer than necessary because they had to weave through people. “And this is Matt’s ‘office’” Brian said
“It looks more like a man cave to me” Velaska said
“Well it is. That’s why I used air quotations” Brian said
“I must’ve not seen them” Velaska said with a light chuckle
“It’s okay. Anyway this is where we relax and it’s also where we all sit in our favorite spots and work on writing new music when the time comes. “Brian said sitting down on the couch and petting the spot next to him, which is where Velaska sat down.
“Why is no one in where? It seems to be a perfect place to hang out” Velaska said not wanting to explain what she meant by “hang out” since it’s obvious what she meant by it.
“Oh because of Matt’s rule. If you are not a family member or have not given permission you may not leave ground level. No going upstairs and no going downstairs” Brian said
“Yea M’s a smart man” Velaska said
“So, tell me about everything. Just like we use to. We use to be best friends. We use to help each other with making people jealous for the fun of it. I miss it. I miss you” Brian said
“Tell me about you first” Velaska said with a slight sternness to her voice.
“Well I just finished filling for a divorce. Turns out she would cheat on me and use my credit card to buy ridiculous thing. I guess it’s for the best” Brian said
“I’m sorry. I hate to see any of you guys upset” Velaska said pulling Brian into a hug
“You are too sweet” Brian said and then without thinking about it he pulled her into a kiss. Velaska kissed back and so Brian kissed back. The kissing escalated to making out, but then Velaska stopped. She had a look of astonishment upon her face. She quickly fixed herself as her clothes were all wrinkled and ran up the stairs and back to her brother. “Where’s Brian?” Matt asked
“Bathroom. Should be back soon” Velaska said
“Is everything okay?” Matt asked
“Yea kinda got lost on my way back here” Velaska said. She hated how she lied to her brother but if she didn’t then she would’ve gotten Matt pissed and she didn’t want that. Brian soon rejoined the group and knew better than to talk to Velaska about what happened in front of Matt.
Velaska and Charlottee stayed late but soon after said goodnight to everyone and went home. “Okay so tell me what’s wrong” Charlottee almost demanded during the ride home
“Nothing’s wrong” Velaska said
“Don’t give me that bullshit. Something happened on the tour of the house” Charlottee said
“Fine. Brian kissed me. I kissed back and then we started to make out. Then I freaked out and left. Brian was really close to me before I moved. I don’t know, I just freaked and ran” Velaska said paying attention to the road ahead of her
“So what are you going to do now?” Charlottee asked
“I don’t know. Maybe keep my distance from them” Velaska said
“Well if you do that it’s gunna kill him” Charlottee said
“I know”
“Me too; I don’t know what I would’ve done if I lost him” Velaska said
