Hope Will Fall Tonight With Broken Wings

Velaska was laughing hard as she was applying SPF 50 sunscreen to Charlottee’s back. “You’re a bitch” Charlottee said.
“I’m sorry, but it’s too funny” Velaska said finishing up. She then applied SPF 30 to her own tattoos. High SPF’s help prevent the color in tattoos from fading. She applied SPF 15 to the rest of her body. “Some of us aren’t lucky enough to be granted tanned skin” Charlottee said as she was getting their towels together
“Well duh. But the both of us were granted bodies to show off at the beach” Velaska said with a wicked smile
“Damn straight! So where are we meeting them?”
“Our usual spot; we’ve been going to this spot forever” Velaska said as they locked the door behind them.

They got into Velaska’s Jeep and headed to the beach with the base pounding out of the car. They had a cooler of waters and sodas as alcohol wasn’t allowed on the beach, to many drunken morons. But that’s fine by them. The others were in charge of the food and blankets. Velaska and Charlottee soon arrived and Velaska led the way. Velaska spotted them before they spotted her. “Hey guys” Velaska said setting down her chair and cooler.
“Hey ladies” Jimmy said waving
“I’m glad you remembered where this place is” Johnny said
“It’s really easy, it’s near the pier” Velaska said with a laugh
“Let the party begin!” Zacky said
“Where are the girls?” Charlottee asked
“In the water” Matt said

“Oh yay!” Velaska said as she took off her strapless bathing suit cover that was made of towel material. Doing so exposed her blue, purple and green splatter paint bikini that had skull and crossbones on the ass, front and both breast. It showed off her fit stomach and toned limps. She placed the bathing suit cover on her chair and walked to the water. As she did everyone could see just how toned those muscles were. The guys just stared as she walked. She also got a lot of attention from random guys on the beach. She finally reached the girls in the water and smiled at the mess she left. “C’mon Lottee!” Velaska screamed on the top of her lungs and used her arms to get Charlottee into the water. Charlottee sighed and took off her sundress, placed it on her chair and walked to the water.

The same guys watched her, she wasn’t as toned but she did have more tattoos decorating her body, including Jack and Sally on either side of her ribcage going down the sides. She got into the water and Val said “Nice work ladies”
“What?” Lottee asked and Val just pointed. They had so many people looking at them and in the back of it all were their guys as still as can be. “I didn’t do it” Velaska said looking around
“Sure” Gena (Zacky’s wife) laughed
“Are the guys going to be okay?” Charlottee asked
“Yea” Leana (Jimmy’s wife) said as she whistled and got their guys attention. She waved them to join them and the guys took off their shirts and headed in. “Fuck” Velaska whispered.
“What’s wrong?” Charlottee asked concerned.

“I have hives and they’re itchy.” Velaska said
“What from?” Val asked
“Well when I saw Brian take off his shirt, my heart beat quickened and the heat doesn’t help” Velaska said
“Awww, you’re in love” Val swooned.
“Awww!” the girls said at the same time and that’s what the guys heard as they entered the water.
“What’s ‘awww’?” Jimmy asked
“Nothing, just girl stuff.” Leana said as she kissed him
“Right” Johnny said
“Ummm V, you have hives. Are you alright?” Matt asked
“Oh yea; it’s just the heat. It makes me break out, sunscreen does nothing. Only thing is these itch and it’s irritating me. I’ll be fine, don’t worry.” Velaska said with a smile
“If you say so.” Matt said.

“Who wants to race?” Velaska asked
“What kind and where?” Brian asked as Velaska smiled
“A swimming contest, and here. We can have one of the girls to stand at a spot and we go from the pier to them and back.” Velaska said
“I’m in” the guys said
“Sweet; you’re going down!” Velaska laughed as she went to the pier. The guys followed behind her and kept telling Gena to farther back until they thought she was at a good distance. “This is going to be interesting” Lacey (Johnny’s wife) said
“Not really. Velaska will win.” Val said confidently
“How can you be so sure?” Charlottee asked
“Velaska use to do this race all summer long. And she would win. It’s like she has gills or something.” Val said
“READY! SET! GO!” Leana yelled and they kicked off a pier pillar and swam freestyle to Gena.

At first they were just a mob of people swimming in a hurry. By the time they got halfway there, they started forming places. Velaska had a slight lead over her brother but Brian was at their hips. And then Jimmy, Johnny and Zacky’s lead was constantly changing all the time. They circled around Gena and started heading back, almost swimming into Jimmy, Johnny and Zacky. About halfway back, their pace slowed down, after all it wasn’t a short distance. And that was when Velaska’s lead got bigger and it was easy to see that she won. “Holy shit” Charlottee said as they finished up the race.
“Undefeated freestyle champ, still!” Velaska sing out of breath
“Still?” Charlottee asked
“I was on the swim team in high school. It was the only sport I did.” Velaska said

“Right, you told me that. I forgot sorry.” Charlottee said
“It’s okay” Velaska said as Brian pulled her into a hug. And Matt cleared his throat when Brian started leaning in to kiss Velaska. “You didn’t tell him?” Velaska asked Brian
“Tell me what?” Matt asked slightly annoyed
“No, I went straight to bed when I got home. And I met him here and he never asked about it.” Brian said
“What the fuck are you talking about?” Matt asked getting pissed off
“Oh, last night they had their date.” Zacky pointed out
“Oh, how did it go?” Jimmy asked as anyone could detail he was begging for details. Now everyone was looking at them. “It was very nice actually. He brought me to the new Asian restaurant. And we just talked.” Velaska said
“Was he late?” Matt asked

“No, actually he was 20 minutes early.” Velaska said
“And what’s the thing that he didn’t tell me?” Matt asked
“That we decided to pursue my feelings for her.” Brian said
“And what the fuck does that mean?” Johnny asked lost
“Ummm dating.” Brian said like he was unsure.
“Yes, dating.” Velaska said confirming it.
“Damn it! I always saw the way you guys looked at each other and the way you guys acted together. I always hoped it wasn’t going to be this. It puts me in a sticky spot.” Matt said
“Yes, but you know Brian. You can make sure he stays in line. At least we are telling you instead of you finding out that we were dating behind your back.” Velaska said
“Bri, you hurt her in anyway, I’ll fuckin kick your ass to hell and back.” Matt threatened
“After I do of course.” Velaska said with a grand smile.
