Road Trip and Settling In
Charlottee got a U-Haul for all of her and Velaska’s belongings to go in for their trip to California. They were going to lead the way to California with the U-Haul following behind them. They would’ve drove it themselves but neither one could drive it hauling a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4-door behind it; so the U-Haul company is driving it, and the girls are in Charlottee’s car. Velaska found a nice condo with an ocean view in Huntington Beach. It was actually at a good price too. “Now be safe, the both of you” Ms. Delie said
“We will don’t worry mom” Charlottee said
“Keep me updated on you and your brother” Mrs. Delie said to Velaska
“I will. He’s going to be so happy to see that I’m alive and awake. Its gunna be great” Velaska said with a smile as she hugged Mrs. Delie.
Once the goodbyes were said Charlottee climbed in behind the wheel of her car and Velaska got in the passenger seat. “Road Trip Honey Babe!” Velaska said loudly
“And the right type of music for it too” Charlottee said as she plugged her iPod into her stereo. Her bass was up high and the whole car shook with bass. A smile formed on both Charlottee and Velaska’s face. They sang along with the music and had to look at their GPS system because they couldn’t hear the voice on it. It was gunna be a long road trip. “So do you think you’ll go swimming?” Velaska asked
“Probably, I mean the waters warmer then it is here. Are you going to go swimming?” Charlottee asked
“Honey babe think about that question” Velaska said
“Right. My bad hahaha” Charlottee laughed.
“So are we stopping anywhere?” Velaska asked
“Like site seeing?” Charlottee asked
“Yea” Velaska said
“I wasn’t planning on it” Charlottee said. “Did you want to?”
“No, I just really want to see my brother” Velaska said
“That’s fine by me” Charlottee said. They drove for as long as they could before Charlottee pulled into a hotel. They got one room and once they got to it they got ready for be and went to sleep. They slept god, woke up, had breakfast there, checked out then headed back on the road. They wanted to drive for as long as they could before they had to sleep. After all it’s a long drive. They could’ve taken a plane but Charlottee wanted to enjoy the scenic trip and Velaska didn’t want to take a plane.
Charlottee and Velaska enjoyed the trip and talked about how they were going to decorate their condo. it was going to be dark, like vampiric, and awesome. A smile came to across Velaska’s face as she saw the Welcome to California sign a few days later. “I’m almost home” Velaska said in a singing voice
“It really is beautiful” Charlottee said
“Wait until you see the condo. It has a great view of the ocean” Velaska said
“Can’t wait” Charlottee said. The drove to the condo and got the keys and parking spot numbers before the landlord closed his office. The movers were resting at a hotel at that point so Charlottee and Velaska slept in the car. When they woke up, they went to find breakfast before they returned to the condo complex to unpack their stuff. Once everything was unloaded in the condo, they went through the boxes.
For the next couple of days Charlottee and Velaska unpacked and moved in. while they were out buying stuff for their condo, they went to the DMV and did all the things they needed to do. Velaska and Charlottee both had job interviews to attend once they were all settled in; they both were smart enough to set up interviews for when they would already be settled in. Charlotte got a job at a local nightclub as a bartender; but not any kind, the kind that does tricks. They’re called flair bartenders. Velaska had a record company ask her to be their accountant, which she of course agreed to. And when they interviewed her, they knew she was gunna be great. Velaska got her own office in which she can decorate to her liking. “Okay, Velaska this is going to be your office. The computer has everything you’re going to ever need. It even has internet” Mr. Wallus said
“Thank you” Velaska said
“I’m giving you today to go through all the programs on the computer so you know how they run. Tomorrow you’ll actually start working. I want you to understand the systems work; also tomorrow, you’ll get a name plaque for your desk and one for the door a along with the phone number extension for you” Ms. Wallus said
“Thank you Mr. Wallus” Velaska said
“Welcome to our family, I’m sure you’ll have a great time working for us” Mr. Wallus said
“I’m sure I will” Velaska said
“Well if you need me, just call me. My number’s on the phone” Mr. Wallus said and then left. Velaska sat down in her comfortable computer chair and turned on the computer and typed in her screen name and password that she had set up.
She spent her whole shift just looking through the programs on the computer. Upon doing so, she found a folder that listed all the bands signed to the record company and a smile was widely spread on her face when saw the band name Avenged Sevenfold. She couldn’t wait until she tells Charlottee that she found her brother and way easier then she thought. For lunch she got a salad off the food cart. She knew that she was going to really enjoy working for the record company. It took her whole entire shift to go through all the programs on the computer and to understand how they all work. Mr. Wallus soon knocked on her door. “Come in” Velaska said
“So how was your first day?” Mr. Wallus asked
“Good, can’t wait for tomorrow” Velaska said with a smile
“Glad to hear it. Can I ask you something?” Mr. Wallus asked
“Of course you can” Velaska said
“Your last name is Sanders. Are you by any chance related to Matt of Avenged Sevenfold?” Mr. Wallus asked
“Yea, he’s my older brother” Velaska said
“I am so sorry for the loss of your parents. Your brother must be happy to see you again” Mr. Wallus said
“He doesn’t know I’m back yet. And I would like it to stay that way until I see him. So if you see him, please don’t tell him I’m back” Velaska said
“Oh, of course” Mr. Wallus saod
“Thank you. I just want to make sure I’m settled in before I tell him I’m back. Do you think I could possibly get his new phone numbers? Because the ones I have are the wrong ones” Velaska said
“Oh sure of course” Mr. Wallus said with a smile.
“Okay well I’ll see you tomorrow at 9am” Mr. Wallus said
“Okay, see you then Mr. Wallus” Velaska said. Velaska collected her things and headed home. She was really happy that she found her brother. She picked up the Chinese food that Charlottee called to ask her to pick up. She soon pulled into her numbered spot and cut the engine. She grabbed all of her things and then the food ad locked the car behind her. Once she walked in, she placed the Chinese food on the table. Charlottee had already placed plates and serving silver wear on the table. “So, how was training?” Velaska asked
“Good, very good. It’s fun. So how was work?” Charlottee asked
“Good as well. Spend the day looking at the programs I’ll be using. Best part though, I found my brother.”
