They say the past is the past, the future is the future and today will always be just today. I wasn’t sure what they had meant by that when I heard it, but now – now I do. This statement has defined who I am today. I wouldn’t be a whore like my mother; if I had children they would know who their father was.
I was determined to find mine and since my mother refused to be of any help claiming it was all in the past. I would go to any length, no matter the distance, no matter the cost. I was willing to go farther than I could reach, just to find my father. I would stretch myself thin for the truth.
