The Frost's Kiss Was the One That Brought Us Down

The Frost's Kiss Was the One That Brought Us Down

The Frost's Kiss was the one that brought us down.
The Frost's Kiss hit without a sound.
In the middle of that night we were alone
with each other and words turned to stone.
The departure was just the beginning.
The act was the end.

One moment, like the last several, you were by my side,
and then the light vanished from your somber eyes.
We walked on to find a flower, to watch it bloom,
to keep it forever and ever, for so long, but
it was too soon.

In the cold of this winter I watched the feelings freeze
next to a girl with loss and a heart that did not please.
She could not find a light, nor even a beacon,
but at this state she had found her demons.
They promised her life in the death of love.
She accepted the deal, because anything was enough,
but she didn't wait for my say, and she was gone before I knew.

She couldn't even hear
the feint words vanish into night,
like the hollow gasps the light,
like this stinging, blunt, and everlasting kiss.

From this I can know
that I could never follow bloodstains in the snow,
and you were there always
on the other side of the gaze.
That is where you spent the days.
You just left me in the most sincere moment,
and I couldn't save you wherever you went.

The Frost's Kiss was the one that brought us down.
The Frost's Kiss hit without a sound.
So cold and so dark,
this winter came and made its mark

from the whispers and shaken looks, as we stood in the silence we mistook.
At the end of the end you were something to defend.
Little did I know it was you that decided to bring this through.
This was your decision. You're just a collision.
You're just a brunette, a now silhouette behind the trees causing the pain of the cut of the memories that are bleeding all over the newly fallen snow.
You left not trail, not a single footstep. You left nothing there for me to follow and find my love wandering around the woods and listening to the monsters that she knows.

The Frost's Kiss was the one that brought us down.
The Frost's Kiss hit without a sound,
and it always showed that I will never know how to follow bloodstains in the snow.
It could not reveal that murderous deal, where it's so cold you couldn't even feel,
so cold you couldn't even see a lover known as me and these things known as mysteries.
You never even knew what's inside of you, what's tearing apart and making you feel blue
in that chasm you call a heart, in the chasm where I played a part,
maybe even played more, but that's something that was lost once we tore.

One by one, we pulled the petals and wished for love.
They ran out, and it landed on "it loves me not."
From that flower our story had its plot.
