No Way to Say Goodbye.

Hot Springs.

Sam’s house was very spacious and open. There were s few boys lounging about on the front porch, mostly in shorts which sort of sent Hannah a wave of uneasiness. They were all sweaty and muscular. All of them of a darker complexion than Hannah’s. They were all fairly cute, but when another boy emerged from the brush beside them, all her thoughts went blank. He must be Billy’s son, Jacob. He had the same facial features except younger.

“Hannah, this is Embry, Paul, Seth, my wife Emily inside, and Jacob; Billy’s son.” Sam introduced warmly.

“Hi,” She blushed with a petite wave.

They welcomed her back, eyes roaming over her tiny frame. She began to feel slightly intimidated. Eight eyes scanning her body, and even though she was wearing a black long sleeved shirt, dark jeans and boots, it felt as if she was standing there in as little clothing as all of them were in. Emily, Sam’s wife called them all in to eat come food, and they disappeared with a snap leaving Hannah to stand in her trance.

“Come on,” Sam pressed his firm hand on the small of her back.

She walked up the steps to the kitchen, with Sam’s hand still on her back. He ushered her to a seat which she took kindly. Emily placed a glass of juice in front of her, along with a banana nut muffin and told her to eat with a plead. Emily explained that she’d made these muffins from scratch and she wanted a girls opinion because they guys would eat anything put in front of them; also because girls in Emily’s eyes were the ones to satisfy the needs of their boys.

Hannah thought Emily was very beautiful. She was like a current time Pocahontas. Except for the harsh scar on her face, in which Hannah cast that aside and looked into her eyes. After Hannah scarffed down the muffin, that was beyond this world good she drank her juice Hannah got up to stand to the side of Emily and rise her cup.

“I like her already,” Sam whispered with a wink so only the guys could hear.

They all agreed and turned silently to Hannah and Emily. Emily was making some more goodies, Hannah being asked to help of course. They were making a chocolate cake, Sam’s favorite. It was surprising that Emily could make all of these goodies from pure memory. She measured everything down to the dime and yet it turned out so moist. Her homemade frosting was so silky against Hannah’s tongue.

“So Hannah, what brings you to Forks?” Sam asks placing his fork on his plate.

“My parents dropped me off at my grandparents,” She answered honestly.

“Just like that?” Seth asked looking at her curiously.

“Just like that,” She mimicked with a kind smile.

“Who are your grandparents?” Paul chimed in.

“Maggie and Addison Pierce,” She replied.

“Oh, I love them!” Paul shouted.

Looking at all of the guys Hannah then asked, “You all know them?”

“Of course we do,” Jacob stood. “They make the best food, along with Emily of course.”

“Oh,” was all Hannah could say at Jacob’s assertiveness.

Shaking his head, Same leaned closer to her, “He’s just in a shit mood. Ignore him.”

“Am not!” Jacob protested.

“Oh yeah?” Embry finally spoke making Hannah become dizzy with all this back and forth gazing.

“Yeah!” Jacob defended finally breaking, as his hypnotizing smile broke from his pink lips.

“Is it because your dad set you up with someone whose out of your league?” Paul teased.

Out of his league? Please, Hannah thought. Jacob was out of her league. His defined arms made her drool, and his tanned skin was a mixture of milk chocolate and smooth caramel. All she wanted to do was be cradled in his arms. She couldn’t take her eyes off of him to save her life. However, without her trying to be obvious she’d look away every couple of seconds only to be returned to those eyes. Those eyes seemed all too familiar, but Hannah couldn’t place exactly where they were from.

Even though Jacob seemed standoffish he was just as taken by Hannah. She was exactly what he’d go for, but he wouldn’t come clean about that. Seth was right, that holiday vanilla scent she carried was toxic to him. He wanted so badly to curl up next to her and be lucky enough to play with her soft looking hair, and inhale her scent which was so profound to his sensitive senses.

“Hey Hannah,” Paul smiled. “You like water?”

“Yeah I do, why?” She giggled, already getting comfortable. This was so unlike her.

“Because there is this hot spring we go to, in the forest. Wanna come?” Seth nearly begged.

Hannah could sense that he was the youngest, not only by the shortness, or the younger facial features but by the way he talked. He seemed to have his puberty hit, but his voice was slightly peaky.

“I don’t have a bathing suit,” Hannah’s face grew sad.

“Please Hannah, I’m sure you could fit into one of Emily’s older suits.” Sam suggested.

“Yeah, besides it is so worth it!” Emily smiled, and hurried off to grab one for her.

Hannah wrapped the towel around her exposed frame. All the guys, and her squished their feet into the muddy soil, and when it came time to walk into the wilderness, Hannah’s heartbeat became frantic. She liked the outdoors, but begin hidden with a group of guys wasn’t exactly her forte, although they were all pretty smoking hot.

When they all approached the spring, Hannah was shocked at the size. It was as big as a regular pool. It was plastered with stone along the walls, so there was no moss on the bottom. It was actually pretty cool. She had to give it to them, that this was practically one of the coolest things ever.

When they all climbed in without hesitation, Hannah become self conscious. She knew that once they saw her scar on her lower abdomen, thanks to Emily’s liking in low rise bikini’s, that they were going to tease her. She’d been in an accident when she went camping one summer in her sophomore year, and regrettably she’d went to the bathroom by herself one night. Not too detailed, but it left a mark.

“Come on Hannah!” Embry called out from the opposing side.

“Yeah, are you shy?” Paul purred.

“No!” She defended playfully, and stood to her feet.

She allowed her feet to scrape the soft dirt beneath her, for it was warm also. She could have just laid on the dirt and been satisfied. With the towel slowly peeling away from her body, she noticed that they were all waiting for her. Maybe they thought she was pretty, maybe not. Wishful thinking lead her to believe that they thought she wasn’t bad looking. But she surely couldn’t compare to someone like Emily. Surely that’s what all of them liked, but every once in a while a new face was due. Even Sam was waiting, patiently.

Revealing the red bathing suit she was wearing, all of their eyes seemed to harass her petite bodice. Nervously, she took a step forward, when her most awaited question was asked.

“What’s that scar from?” Seth’s soft, and adorable voice asked, concerned.

“I fell on a rock while camping,” Hannah Laughed and sat at the edge.

They all made ‘o’ faces and proceeded to stare. She soon became fine with her image, but instantly wished Emily was a little bigger in the chest area. Because when Hannah took off the towel she realized that she was in need of a bigger size. It didn’t show hardly anything, but it made her cleavage scream attention.

Jacob walked back to his house with Hannah at his side. All that was stained in his thoughts were how amazing her body was. She was sweet, smelled incredible and had a rocking body, according to him at least. She was perfect in his eyes. But he couldn’t help but feel like she was too good for him. With his luck however she’d have a boyfriend already, or get on the moment she went to school. Too bad she couldn’t go to his school, that way he could keep an eye on her because after their long day at Sam’s she easily fit in. They all sensed her nervousness, but didn’t judge her for it.

Even Jacob would be intimidated by all guys, he laughed to himself.

“What’s so funny?” She asked sweetly.

Surprised she spoke, he answered huskily, “ah, nothing.” But he smiled afterwards.

“I’m really glad we met, Jacob.” Hannah’s soft voice admitted.

“Me too! Say, we’re going to the pier tomorrow, would you want to come. It’s supposed to be a nice day,” His eyes dancing hungrily with hers. He all of a sudden wanted her so badly. She smelled so appealing to his senses he couldn’t help but offer her a hug as she made her way to the monster of a truck.

“Are you sure?” She asked, Hannah wasn’t one to impose.

“Yeah, we’ll be there around noon, plus, you’re stuck with us now. Everyone really likes you.” He let his soft side come out because he gave her a warm smile.

Daring to be brave in this new place Hannah grinned, “Does that include you?”

Taken aback by her abrasiveness, Jacob let a faint chuckle surpass his lips. Of course she liked her. What wasn’t to like? She was sweet, seemed to want to try to make herself welcome. Unlike other girls who are intimidated and leave in a haste. Plus, it really proved she was the ‘one,’ when she let everyone see her in that bathing suit. She was so hot. Jacob thought, before he shook his head and beamed down at her.

That was a good enough answer for her. He shut the trucks door for her and stood there as she drove away. His chest dim the farther away she was.
