The next few hours were spent with Lily and me talking and trying to forget the situation of her and Derek.
"Remember that time the three of us went to the creek just outside of town and we all fell in because Derek thought he saw a snake and tried to run off but instead ran ito us and we all fell straight into the creek?" She said laughing so hard that tears started to come out of her eyes.
"Yeah, and then he complained the way home and blamed us for being in his way!" I said laughing just as hard as Lily.
"And then we tackled him down for that and then ran from him all the way home." She finished the story. We sat in silence while we wiped off the tears. Then we heard the doorbell. We got up and ran to my front door only to find Derek on the other side of it.
